Hmm, so it seems to be:
?atk - 49atk = 1atk (Thinking it might not be 1-49, which might explain the glove atk phenomenon)
50atk - 99atk = 2atk
100atk - 149atk = 3atk
150atk - 199atk = 4atk
200atk - ?atk = 5atk
It might continue after that, but definitely impossible to tell for now with the current items we have, excluding enhance hacks of course.

Lol now i wish i screenshotted a pair of level 80 thief gloves i enhanced and gained 2 atk on. I found them for like 2m, 2-lined unique, continued to toss 5 60% gfa....resulted in 2/5 working -_-.
Decided to enhance it to try to redeem the failed attack and on the 2nd enhance gained 2 atk. Final stats when i sold them were 6 atk with 2 line unique potential +2 on the scrolling. Maybe i'll start screenshotting before i randomly enhance gloves.

+4 str = +2000 dps... >_> kinda an expensive upgrade. On the other hand, may as well go for the best items I can.
( I also failed a 60% armor str on my pants, but that's less exciting. Too bad Vega Scrolls don't work on 60% armor, Nexon coulda got another 4 bucks from me. Their final stats, 11 str 17 dex 6 speed. )
