Your range usually dont save you when you are getting ganked. Although ziggs its pretty good escaping, it will take a while setting it up. (I still have troubles using Satchel to jump walls and pomegranate.)

Although i admit WoTA its not necessary, but its nice to have sometimes.

RoA catalyst effect is good during laning phase, and the AP bonus is nice considering you get Health and Mana to boot.

And why the pineapple do you want rylais? The slow you get from the mines its pretty op in my opinion.

I built Rylais for mostly the HP because playing co-op games where everyone is a squishy, ololol. The slow was just nice. ;-;

The only items I know for sure that I like on AP Ziggs is Sorc boots + Rabadon's. Probably a Zhonya's as well. I'll just be over here having fun playing alone in a custom game trying to jump over walls because of dat lag. ._.

RoA its for the mana peach, the hp and Ap are a nice bonus.

In any situation is a really really dangerous statement. WoTa is an amazing item when you for some reason have an AP top, jungler, well scaling support like Karma or Soraka and Kog'maw or Ezreal. Since all the others have to focus on a particular item first usually, an early WoTa can be an amazing aura to have during a dragon fight or something. I don't see what's so wrong about RoA, I've to say that I haven't seen Ziggs play a lot yet but the extra hp makes him able to not get insta-gibbed and as well as being healthy enough to actually get to hit those lich procs combined with his AA passive. The added laning presence is a bonus. Rylai's is basically a worse RoA but accomplishes the same with the extra hp, while still giving him other important stats.

My Ziggs build has been usually..

Doran's or Shoes/3 depending on my opponent. If I'm having trouble, I get a few (more) rings. Move into boots of mobility (yes, pineapple you) then rush a rabadons. I then try to get some sort of tankiness with a Rylais or perhaps an abyssal. I try to get a Lich late game, because Ziggs is horrible late game. He's extremely similar to Lux, miss skillshots->everything on cooldowns and you're useless. At least with Lich you do some extra damage.

I spectated a couple friends doing 1v1 matches earlier this week, and one of them repeatedly busted out XZ and defeated the other guy.
