Actually I'd argue that her passive + Ricochet are the main culprits. Those combined gave her a really strong early game. I wouldn't be surprised if her Boomerang Blade gets a ratio nerf as well, since it is devastating to squishies in team fights.

I already had a feeling sometime back she might get toned down ever since she was buffed last time. The previous buff she got - the 5% reduction in Ricochet bounce damage - and combined with what she already had in her kit made her a really good ranged AD champion.

Knowing (or having a feeling) that a champion might be subjected to a nerf doesn't mean that I have call it out publicly weeks beforehand. Rolleyes

I'm expecting Cass tweaks at some point. She puts out a lot of damage quite easily, providing you can hit the q's, and shes picked like every game now.

I personally don't even think shes that hard to play. I imagine she was much harder before she got her eventual buffs.

I agree, I never found Cass to be that hard to use. Just use smartcast and be able to aim your attacks and you're set.

I think the only champion that took me longer than usual to get accustomed to was Orianna. I had to get the hang of controlling where I wanted the ball to go and making sure it was positioned properly for all my spells.
Really wish they hadn't nerfed her Q's range like they did. And then a kick to the groin by releasing Xerath with his insane range pokes shortly after...

Played with cass a little while ago, got a good early, feeded in mid, farmed in late.

In the end we won mostly due to our akali going snowballing like mad (I was on my smurf). Also the irony of Blind pick, We both had a nunu cass and caitlyn Rolleyes

I'm unsure how much of a pubstomper she is, but given her relatively short range and vulnerability to ganks (until level 6), there's definitely more opportunity for counterplay.

I think I'll want to crunch some numbers to see how her DPS pans out, but I imagine champions with appropriate CC can still punish her.

One thing that definitely does have me worried though is her insane synergy with spellvamp and Rylai's.

Q: ~850-900 range (850 range max for casting, additional 50 range due to Noxious Blast's AoE)
W: ~850 range
E: ~700 range (farther than most champs' AA range iirc, with a few exceptions)
R: ~850 range, ~85 degree cone

They used Cass in CLG EU vs M5. Games 2 and 3 were pretty amazing to watch. e_e;

Cass is one amazing champion to zone during the laning phase. Her 0.5 CD E when poisoned its also pretty good, too bad shes pretty much fucked if shes ganked although chances are you could kill the ganker if you leave him low enough with your poison. (Pretty important to know when you are "completely fucked" and "I better run". If you summit to your fate you could actually get a chance to survive at times, since gankers expect you to run most of the time which makes you a easy target)
