Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion - Polantaris - 2014-04-25 I feel like it would be a colossal waste of time to put the other four of them in the game if they had no plan for them other than a Final Smash. Though it couldn't be flat reskins on regular Mega Man considering the height problem. We'll just have to wait and see. Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion - Niernen - 2014-04-25 What if they do something where when you get the smash ball, the direction you hold decides what form you transform into? Super Smash Bros. What would be a waste of time is to fully animate five different characters from a third party franchise just so each could be used as a different playable character. Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion - Justin - 2014-04-25 Niernen Wrote:What if they do something where when you get the smash ball, the direction you hold decides what form you transform into? They wouldn't do that because then you wouldn't be able to use any sort of recovery move if you get knocked away. Super Smash Bros. Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion - byakugan - 2014-04-25 What I don't get is how this smash works. Is it a sort of laser, straight in one direction as the one Samus shoots? That would be lame to be honest. Maybe a combo which requires the player to input buttoms as it is performed?. Starts with a puch from Rock that sends the enemy to X who then uses a shoryuken sending character to EXE and so on until it ends in a guaranteed KO. Super Smash Bros. Pokeballs and Assist trophies all do things in-game, and add an element to the game that was not there before they were added. Mega Man's final smash adds absolutely nothing to the game except a visual effect. It would be no different if it was just Mega Man himself or all five of them. And if they were going to make them playable characters, they would likely have something unique to each of them, similar to Roy vs Marth and Falco vs Fox in Melee. They would still do something. Wii U and 3DS Discussion - wilsoncwc - 2014-04-26 How about something like Pokemon Trainer, each of them unleashes a different move in a general direction. How screwed your opponents are depends on which move they are caught in. Super Smash Bros. Final smashes in general "add an element to the game that was not there before they were added". The point of having all the megamen is to be epic enough to justify a ohko move. Megaman alone would just look stupid. Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion - Lozmaster - 2014-04-26 Megaman calling in his other forms is just pure fanservice. They won't be playable. It'll probably be like either pokemon trainers triple finish where they all launch a frontal attack together, or like falcons where it occurs purely in a cutscene. We know for sure it involves that charged mega buster from all of them that we saw in the direct rather than any combo between the different ones though. Super Smash Bros. Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion - Justin - 2014-04-29 "Pic of the day. Tether recovery? Yes, you can! And from even longer range than before. Multiple fighters can latch on--who actually grabs hold is determined by the same rules as the standard ledge grab." I wonder if Link's spin attack will be horrible horizontally because of this. That range is insane now. And what's with those weird chains/ropes between Samus and Link? |
