I too thought it started tomorrow, until a few days ago when I saw the E3 schedule for Twitch and saw it started today.

I swear I went into the E site and it said the E3 goes from June 10th to 12th.

The E3 show floor opens up from the 10th to 12th, press conferences are on the 9th with Nintendo being an exception.

Honestly, if that gameplay wasn't prerendered to all hell, it was probably the only game in the entire conference that actually looked like fun. Didn't take itself very seriously while still having flashy combat and field movesets.
The new CoD was probably the worst trailer I saw in the entire thing; those cringeworthy tutorials built into the prerendered scripted scenes. "HEY GUYS W NEED TO JUMP DOWN, BE CAREFUL, BY THE WAY HERE'S HOW YOU JUMP DOWN".
By the way, do they even introduce new stuff over the next 3 days, or is it just a huge waste of time? Seems like the press conference already went over everything but Nintendo.
