Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion - Locked - 2013-06-22 They're extremely easy to avoid so I think you should learn how to avoid it instead. Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion - Takebacker - 2013-06-22 Pikachu doesn't really have any strong aerial options to kill off the top so he has the strongest up smash in the game, but if the enemy doesn't get killed you have thunder as a follow up. Like locked said it's easy to avoid otherwise so it makes sense the way it works now. Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion - ShinkuDragon - 2013-06-22 indeed, the thunder is more than anything to screw with people coming back to the arena from too high. otherwise it's punishable as hell (from my scrub experience) original: kirby, samus, pikachu melee: ROY, Kirby, samus, pikachu brawl: Meta knight, Kirby (the spinning hammer makes me cry though), pikachu, lucas (i suck at him, but that up smash when it connects...) Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion - Lozmaster - 2013-06-22 Pikachus Thunder has such a ridiculous delay, along with the sound effect making it so easy to predict, there is no chance of it getting nerfed. That video having the pikachu resort to spamming its neutral B when it came to sudden death should tell you all you need to know on how bad the person playing Pikachu was. Kirbys is even more hilariously useless given how open it leaves him when the attack inevitably misses, you're virtually guarenteed to be grabbed, if not worse. Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion - Takebacker - 2013-06-22 Kirby's is easy to buff though. If they add a hitbox when grounded to make it harder or impossible to grab and allow you to air dodge/attack out of down b you have so many mixups to use it for. Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion - Dark Link - 2013-06-22 N64: Mario + Ness Melee: Dr. Mario + Marth Brawl: Marth + Diddy I don't like what they did to Mario in Brawl. Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion - Takebacker - 2013-06-22 Dark Link Wrote:N64: Mario + Ness Mario has a lot of really interesting tricks in brawl that probably make him viable competitively but no one plays him is all. :/ He seems more interesting to play compared to melee/64 due to this, imo. Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion - Link - 2013-06-22 I mained Link in the original and then Link + Marth in Melee and Brawl. I've never deviated, though I have played all of the characters at least once. I'll never stray from playing Link. Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion - Niernen - 2013-06-22 I hate kirby. SAll some of my friends do is jump over me and use is up or down special. Its so easy to dodge and counter but its the only thing they do... I liked Ike, but dropped him after i got more characters. I play Snak and toon link often (Snake's smash is wicked). I dont like heavy/slow characters as much. We should really have a Southperry Brawl tourney, but i dont know if its possible over WiFi (Can you do private matches?) Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion - Chainspark - 2013-06-22 I mostly play as G&W, R.O.B. and Wario. G&W's really weird hit boxes and lots of invincibility frames is one of my favorite things about him. R.O.B. has some decent damage racking moves and Wario's unpredictability and the ability to make his own items(breaking the motorcycle and using the wheels for glide tossing) is very usefull. Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion - Punch - 2013-06-22 Not bashing Pikachu, but I do find Pikachu an easy character to play. He has control in every direction~ Enemy above? Thunder. Left/Right? Spark/Headbutt Close? Smash Electric Moves His Down+Smash is probably one of, if not, the best. I usually suggest Pikachu when playing Brawl with friends who aren't familiar with Smash Bros AKA never played before. Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion - Locked - 2013-06-23 Niernen Wrote:We should really have a Southperry Brawl tourney, but i dont know if its possible over WiFi (Can you do private matches?) Hey I'm actually really interested in doing this. Can you guys +1 this post if you want to and -1 if you don't so I can gauge the general opinion (or not vote if you have no opinion)? I don't feel like adding a poll and this should be good enough. JoeTang will -1 this because he has no Wii or Wii U and is too poor to afford. Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion - Takebacker - 2013-06-23 I don't think brawl wifi works on homebrew'd wiis. Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion - Locked - 2013-06-23 Takebacker Wrote:I don't think brawl wifi works on homebrew'd wiis. I didn't think of that but I don't see why it wouldn't as long as you refuse to do a system update. Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion - ShinkuDragon - 2013-06-23 i'd like to, but can't, so yeah. Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion - JoeTang - 2013-06-23 Locked Wrote:Hey I'm actually really interested in doing this. We could do a tournament on Dolphin instead. N64: Pikachu, Fox, Link Melee: Marth, Fox, Pikachu, Link, Young Link; I could play Falco and Shiek alright as well Brawl: Pikachu, Marth, Ike, Zero Suit Samus, Link, Lucario Punch Wrote:Not bashing Pikachu, but I do find Pikachu an easy character to play. Pikachu has terrible priority and range. Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion - Locked - 2013-06-23 JoeTang Wrote:We could do a tournament on Dolphin instead. Or one for Project 64k! Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion - Takebacker - 2013-06-23 JoeTang Wrote:Pikachu has terrible priority and range. Cept for forward tilt. That thing has notoriously ridiculous priority. Not sure about brawl but i doubt that would have changed from melee... Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion - Punch - 2013-06-23 JoeTang Wrote:Pikachu has terrible priority and range. Whut. All his smash attacks have great range. Down hits both sides with a good distance, and Side Smash has great range. Spark is range itself, thunder is all the way up and to the sides down, Headbutt is aimed. Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion - Niernen - 2013-06-23 Honestly, the only thing I ever do with my Wii/Wii U these days is play brawl when friends come over. I'm much too attached to my 3DS/laptop (and the convenience of portable). I would be up for a Southperry Brawl event on the Wii. If its through an emulator or something i guess i could download it if it works for more people... |
