Skyrim thread - Olsi - 2011-11-27 Restarted a char because i wanted to make a mage more then a dual wielding dude. Skyrim thread - Jedward - 2011-11-28 I am REALLY enjoying dualwielding swords so far. I don't know why everyone's finding it so hard, though I just joined the College, so. Skyrim thread - Zelkova - 2011-11-28 quests for college at winterhold suck balls. Rewards are worth it though. Skyrim thread - Olsi - 2011-11-28 I have 2 projects due Wednesday and thought I should play skyrim for 30mins, played for 2 hours and spend an hour looking stuff up about skyrim. Dammit skyrim your breaking me. Skyrim thread - Corn - 2011-11-28 Goddammit that's even more hours than any single one of my games. Skyrim thread - Olsi - 2011-11-29 Think im gonna quit my mage character no destruction magic other then sparks flames lighting bolt and frostbolt, and i can find any better ones >.>, maybe ill go back to my dual-wielding with other thing character. If you're going to depend on destruction magic you have to dual wield it for it to being any good. You could sword/magic but you should use a long range one. Personally my first character was one hand/magic and it worked really well, I just got bored with it. As for my character I got to level 41, trying to hit 50 by tonight. I went pure conjeration but I feel like the bounded weapons aren't* good enough. I'm focusing on alchemy/enchanting/smithing to make good equipment. I got forging to 100, alchemy is 34 and enchanting is like 80. It'll take 29 levels and I started at like 21 unfortunately lol Skyrim thread - Eos - 2011-11-29 RandomZodiac Wrote:Think im gonna quit my mage character no destruction magic other then sparks flames lighting bolt and frostbolt, and i can find any better ones >.>, maybe ill go back to my dual-wielding with other thing character. Uh, Faralda at the Winterhold College sells the advanced magics, among others. The college radiant quests are how you get the truly nifty magics, like permanent summons and similar. Oh that's where you get the master spells, thanks for the fyi lol Skyrim thread - Eos - 2011-11-29 KhainiWest Wrote:Oh that's where you get the master spells, thanks for the fyi lol Each of the instructors there, yeah, not just her. She's the destruction master. The other masters obviously for their respective schools. Other then that I have owned everything so I'll stick with my mage a while longer. Also Faralda didnt have any magics I couldnt buy at dragonsreach, my friend said that the game brings out stronger magics when you get higher lvl, do i need to get the advance magics skill to get the better books? Skyrim thread - Eos - 2011-11-29 A) Get a follower like Lydia (from Whiterun main quest) if you're a mage so she can be your meat shield. B) Your destruction level determines whether or not you can get the new spells from that school, not your level level. You may also have to do her quests to make her like you, or the other college quests to get better recognition. At the beginning I wouldn't focus on magic so heavily in fact I would just use a two handed weapon. They are slow but they are strong the early levels and it gives you essentially easy experience. Skyrim is a game about how often you use your skills so play around a bit, although 1-hand is your best bet, I wouldn't waste my time on dual wielding as it limits you to short range. Also yes the merchants sell better equipment as you level up. Skyrim thread - Olsi - 2011-11-29 Have to make a bunch of notes and study for a test, I wanna play skyrim so bad .
Skyrim thread - Jedward - 2011-11-29 Golldir (he's kinda hidden somewhere) is my follower right now. He's coo. Lydia isn't that awesome. ;( Skyrim thread - Olsi - 2011-11-29 Yay vendors made their spells better now all i need is to get to lvl 50 destruction to use fireball for half the cost. Skyrim thread - Eos - 2011-11-29 RandomZodiac Wrote:Yay vendors made their spells better now all i need is to get to lvl 50 destruction to use fireball for half the cost. Personally firebolt sucks less than fireball, even halved. If you really want to be useful, enchant four pieces of armor with max fortify destruction. Infinite offense ftw. Skyrim thread - Olsi - 2011-11-29 Not too good at this game and I dont really know how to "max enhance" things, im assuming it's with greater soul gem things, but those are really expensive and such. Guess ill check youtube or skyrim wiki. |
