The flying nautilus makes no sense to me. they turned it into one of those japanese mechas that can transform into any vehicle. Next, it will turn into a megazord. I want their ultimate to be a big man come out of the ground and fires energy at people. What... darkmonkey13 Wrote:They suck for bossing, and do little/no impact for regular training (except LHC, where they are somewhat useful) I think you mean future ereve. [1.2.384] A Cannon Shooter is born - Arrol - 2011-06-02 When you look at their ultimate, it looks out of place to me. Also, I see it as an upgrade of Transformation. Do you see Battleship as an ulti? NO. Gaviota is. It's like the upgrades to the Mech's robot, but with a small cooldown. If defense is still STR based for this class and the 100% def skill works like pally's shield mastery, I'm going to enjoy taking 1 DMG from Von leon... High HP+defense is exactly what I love in a class, and being str based means I can share gear from my main ^_^ So I'm in love. Any word on what the Weapon dmg multiplier for cannons is? And is it confirmed that bullets don't add to their range? [1.2.384] A Cannon Shooter is born - Nion - 2011-06-02 This reminds me of Hua Guai from DW7. [1.2.384] A Cannon Shooter is born - xAyakoCx - 2011-06-02 KMS makes yet another job... This one looks so cool
[1.2.384] A Cannon Shooter is born - Phoenix - 2011-06-02 From that 120 Video, usually for CB's and Pally's their defence stat is in red with the addition defense from their passive skills marked, doesn't seem to be the case here. [1.2.384] A Cannon Shooter is born - aslemn - 2011-06-02 I can't look at that Nautilus ultimate without thinking of a copypasta of Evan's ultimate. :| [1.2.384] A Cannon Shooter is born - Abysseon - 2011-06-02 So its a pirate that carries around a big laser cannon?... >.> *agrees that the ultimate looks out of place* Seems as though nexon could have used some of the Cannoneer/cannon shooter? skill ideas for the pirate revamp and come up with more original skills for the class later rather than releasing them now. Need to see how well they can boss due to the 'slow' movement of the class. [1.2.384] A Cannon Shooter is born - Sarah - 2011-06-02 Balrog Wrote:Oh nexon! Patapon 3 would like a word with youuu~! Whoa!? Maybe I should start paying attention to Patapon again. ...maybe not. I was horrible at the first one. [1.2.384] A Cannon Shooter is born - CrazyForDex - 2011-06-02 Awesome Nexon, don't revamp pirates and thieves or release the archer legend, just go straight for an even more overpowered mech/sair with a cannon. *facepalm* [1.2.384] A Cannon Shooter is born - PeePeeAyeDeeKay - 2011-06-02 Phoenix Wrote:From that 120 Video, usually for CB's and Pally's their defence stat is in red with the addition defense from their passive skills marked, doesn't seem to be the case here.I think it's because Paladin & Shadower's Shield Mastery acts like a buff rather than a passive. A "passive buff" if anything, due to the defense bonuses requiring a Shield to be equipped. I remember on my Battle Mage when I added into Energize, the defense stats did not turn red but however did increase on the "base" defenses. [1.2.384] A Cannon Shooter is born - Takebacker - 2011-06-02 Alrighty. Back home at my computer finally. IllegallySane Wrote:Invin frames + healing alone don't really do much justice for a Bucc. I admit staying alive is nice, but it's staying alive better vs more damage. Still bottom tier at bosses when others can deal more damage or has more utility. Pot cooldown? Abuse that Cannon Backshot and Cannon Jump to gain distance. No, staying alive is AWESOME. Unfortunately the only example is by definition an end game boss, but these fights will clearly become the standard as time goes on. Cannon shooter won't be able to kill von leon by himself. He'll be clamoring to the side of a bishop at empress too. Cannon backshot and jump isn't much of a solution to avoiding the cooldown because 1) there are skills with enough vertical range to still hit you and 2) there won't always be mobs in one single place to run away from. Not to mention running away to pot (activating a cooldown that you have to wait for again after you take another hit or three) doesn't mean top tier DPS. Buccaneers at least can stay on the front lines still doing damage when they're potting. While cannoneers might have a bishop because they can't live well without it, the point is that our class can do well enough on our own. Actually, f'uck "well enough". Buccaneers with good control can survive leagues better than literally every other class. ShiKage Wrote:Not to mention that Vipers aren't exactly using their invulnerability frames 100% of the time. One foul smack and you're dead, where as the ranged character sitting behind you, firing their cannon, tanks the hit and keeps going. The reason you are wrong is not because your point is not true. You are wrong because you're looking at it in the wrong way. You're seeing it as "oh my main attack has a huge vulnerability". I'm seeing it as "oh my main attack makes me invincible for 95% of it's duration". You being vulnerable isn't a weakness. The VAST majority of classes attacks while being vulnerable 100% of the time including this one. Attacking from afar doesn't solve the fact that they can still be hit because bosses clearly have the range to do so, and demo making us open for a very short amount of time doesn't mean our ability to stay completely out of harms way for upwards of 5 seconds if we need it (not to mention healing of both HP/MP ON COMMAND) doesn't matter. Our ability to deal damage literally does not matter because we don't have to. The ranged classes do. We have advantages that make us unique and it is for that reason that i can contribute (i can even go so far as saying i'm invaluable) and be part of major boss runs while being the lowest leveled member. Sure, there are stronger buccs than me. There are stronger buccs that also don't miss on those bosses. But that clearly doesn't matter. That isn't what our class is about, and i don't think you realize (even after all my rants to you over the years on the subject) that because it's been pounded into your mind that "damage is everything". That, or you're just reflecting the retarded japanese players perspectives, in which case it's not your fault for being shunned causing you to think your class is s'hit when it isn't. |
