Hold the phone.
Are you saying Rouge Squadron/Shadows of the Empire on the N64 sucked? Those two games kicked ass.

We can't be friends anymore.

£229.99 here.

I ~might~ cave at launch and buy one but im not feeling the blue and black colours and the inevitable cheaper and better system 12 months later is more tempting to me..

Plus 12 months on would be a better outlook on good games for the system. I know for sure i'll be picking up Ocarina as ive never played the original.

Wow Mark. I have to say, you're the last person I'd think would list this game as a recommended series. JRPG, but it also has CARDS which is another turn off for some people.

But I honestly don't even find many people that know of the game's existance, let alone played it.

@Kunagisa-
Phantasy Star Online: Episode 3

That is all.

If you kept reading, he stated that he just threw it in there to throw me off, haha. He wasn't actually recommending it, though he does know it's awful.

I thought of getting Baten Kaitos before, but that's just because the box art reminded me of a Fire Emblem game.
Then I noticed "Oh hell it has a card system, no thanks."

The only card based game I ever liked was Pokemon Trading Card Game for the GBC, lmao.

It had some really interesting ideas but they were poorly implemented and it made the game a big snooze.

The GCN did not have a quality library, sorry. Just like the N64 only had a handful of good games. The Wii has outshined them both already, while the DS has the best library of our current generation, and is probably second only to the first Playstation, and based on the list of upcoming games it seems like the 3DS will follow suit.

I have no problem with Nintendo, but blindly defending it's failures only makes it difficult to accept your valid points. The GC was a failure.

Gotcha Force.

Seems to be a recurring theme with most jRPGs that get ported out of Japan, meh.

Quite a shame, honestly.

The latter part shouldn't be thought of as good or an upside in any way, shape or form. 3D is as valuable to games as motion sensing/controlling. Just give me a freaking screen and controller and leave all the sissy casual extras on the sidelines until you come up with VR Helmets or the like.

This can be advantageous to a lot of people (or not, depending on how you spend your money and how your tastes in game genres varies from one another).

yeh nintendo isn't notourious for pricing independently.

Two-hundred and forty nine US dollars - Anonymous Moose - 2011-01-21

Just curious, what are the expected release titles for the 3ds?

Man, PTCG was awesome. I've been playing it since I've been in the middle of nowhere with a bunch of stupid dogs.

Two-hundred and forty nine US dollars - octopusprime - 2011-01-21

the funny thing about calling the NGC trash or it's library bad is that an even bigger majority of the game that were great on the other two systems weren't exclusive and the wii had them. feel free to dig through old game of the years to find the only exclusive title from that gen that wasn't nintendo to be halo.

oh and somehow considering a good game less good because it has no been re-done and is in your opinion better on the wii is like deciding to no longer play any new original game because compared to the better remake some will eventually make of it, it is trash.

This isn't a fanboy rant, this is a 'god damn that was a lot of shitty logic rant.'

Fair enough. The story was bad, the start was boring, I hated the level up system (hurr you go to the save point to get all the exp later instead of now!), but enjoyed some of the music and actually liked the battle system (though I wouldn't want tosee it used more in other games).

Byyyyyyyyyyy the way, this 27th Jan Sony announces PSP2. I'll wait until then to make any assumptions.

There were a ton of good games on the Game Cube... Far moe than there is on the Wii.

A handful of GOOD games doesn't outweigh the terrible mass of garbage games.
If anything it made a small indent bump on the slowly decreasing slide.

Two-hundred and forty nine US dollars - Link - 2011-01-21

I don't see how this is only limited to the Game Cube. All systems have a ton of games that fail... I see more games in the PS2/3 and XBox area than in the Nintendo area that fail in massive proportion.
