How is it mindless flavor? Are you the host? No, so you opinion doesn't matter. Mute said this was a reverse mafia game, that is not just flavor. The town are always good guys or mindguided guys, while the mafia are the bad guys. And what do we have in this game? The reverse of that. So town/reverse mafia and mafia/reverse town.
It was by no means nonsense or trying to divert attention since it was the host's words himself that this was a reverse mafia game and everything that goes with that, the only people who would believe that are the type of people who have played one too many mafia games and need to take a break. And also need to stop playing mafia games with a typical mindset and open their mind to more than one possibility.
If Stephen says it was just mindless flavor then I'll shut up, but until then I'll be playing this game with the mindset it is actually supposed to be played with instead of a prudish, stubborn; unwilling to except new playstyles mindset like you have showed even if I am on your side.

Dude... You're taking the whole concept way too far. The only thing that's reversed is within the universe. Instead of good characters outnumbering bad ones, villains outnumber heroes. However, the villains, being the majority, by game definition are still townies and not reverse mafia, and heroes as the minority are still mafia, not reverse townie. Seriously, what the pineapple? I would not join a game that required me to refer to everyone as reverse mafia and reverse town. That's pineappleing gay.

Explain to me how being closed-minded has anything at all to do with this. It's just about whether or not we refer to people as town and scum or reverse town and reverse scum. It doesn't affect gameplay at all, in fact it's a purely aesthetic thing, which is why Yoshi and I said it's just going to confuse people if we do it that way. There's nothing to be gained from a gameplay standpoint by referring to people in that way, and besides, Mute's post above basically confirms it was just flavor, so I think it's time for you to shut up and stop being crazy and elitist.

You did this last time you got into a fight with me because of being close minded and believing how the StarCraft game should have gone, and remember what happened? You were completely wrong. No matter which side I am on during mafia games I am always looking at the game from a neutral standpoint, if I am on the town/reverse mafia or mafia/reverse town side I try to help them the best I can, but overall I don't do silly things like you and a number of other players do by holding on to a personal belief of the way the game should be. I just play the game for what it is at that moment.
But of course there is no point in me talking to you about this. Some crazy elitist like you who never shuts up. (See, I can throw out random insults that make no sense too!) I will admit arguing with you is always at least a little fun. (By the way before anyone assumes the side I am on in the current game has nothing to do with what I am saying. I have just simply grown bored of all the idiocy that partakes in Southperry mafia games. All players are at fault for displaying some type of idiocy in these games even myself.)

P.S. Meta, I only suggested you shut up because you yourself said you'd do that if Mute confirmed "reverse" was only flavor. Use your brain, he pretty much did that. I was just suggesting you follow your own creed. BTW, they weren't random insults, you called me closed-minded for a rather ridiculous, non-sensical reason and I find that offensive and insulting.
P.P.S. If you really want to get into semantics, you're saying that reverse townie = regular mafia and reverse mafia = regular townie. I disagree. Under the principles of reverse mafia, the opposite of the norm is true. This means that reverse mafia are the good guys and reverse town are the bad guys. SO, referring to the villains as townie and the heroes as mafia is actually technically in line with your... "suggestion." What would probably be better though, is to refer to villains as mafia and heroes as townie. However, it's an incredible waste of time go through all of that when we can just assign them typical classifications and focus on actual, important gameplay.
