Visitor part 4 spoilers - RADRaze2KX - 2010-09-20 being as how it's nearly impossible for a statless character to get the stat they've kept low on high-level potential items while cubing (it eventually goes epic, and then everything turns into a +%, rather than a +#) I believe permifyng some of the equipment (mainly shoes) could be very adavntageous to statless characters that want to use higher-level equipment. For example, a lukless mage that wants to use reverse equipment could get a possible +30 luk from shoes? That's a huge advantage... this is why I'm scrolling my DB's shoes with dex like crazy... I've got better equipment to potential than shoes.. earrings, weapons, overalls... shoes are almost always worthless, even face stompers don't get good potential stats anymore, and good luck grabbing a 100% attack shoe scroll and throwing it on some high-leveled 3-line shoes, chaosing it into some better shoes, and then cubing it to get the unique status all the NX fiends have been chasing... meso waste Visitor part 4 spoilers - FluffyFoxxie - 2010-09-20 RADRaze2KX Wrote:being as how it's nearly impossible for a statless character to get the stat they've kept low on high-level potential items while cubing (it eventually goes epic, and then everything turns into a +%, rather than a +#) I believe permifyng some of the equipment (mainly shoes) could be very adavntageous to statless characters that want to use higher-level equipment. except going statless is outdated post BB and useless to any class other than warriors (since they don't need dex to wear their gear and acc isn't nearly as big a deal), so you really aren't illustrating a point here. It's still worthless to do and it's still worthless to use these lvl 0 equips in comparison to a well potentialed high lvl equip. Sure only a dolt would use a low lvl statless weapon instead of say a reverse, but having lowest amount possible of secondary stat while still being able to use 120 weapons sure goning to beat a high secondary stat base build. You don't even have to use the potential to get enough secondary stat these days, possibly excluding magicians. You are correct about the uselessness of Visitor gear though. Because the best classes to go statless on (thieves, magicians) have moderately high secondary stat requirements to equip their 71+ armor, and it would be stupid to not potential at least 71+ equipment, a waste of money. Going statless is just innefficient post potential and post maker nowadays, except for warriors who I believe can go dexless just fine. Edit: Also I never said lowstat was outdated, I mean statLESS. There is a difference, do not confuse the two. Although if KMS ever releases level 130 armor(It'll happen D low stat will be almost outdated too.

He's drawing a line between having 25 base dex on a Thief and using high level gear and having 30 base dex on a Thief and using high level gear, even though they are the exact same build. Having +35% luk instead of +34% luk would make a bigger difference. FluffyFoxxie is referring to statless as in not investing in your secondary stat at all, as in using SCGs, Facestompers, LUK saunas, and the like. Even if you're using say, a VIP claw, it still makes sense to use class gloves/shoes/overalls at higher player levels and higher levels of funding. I still think the notion that there are different stat builds has been outdated for many classes for a while and became outdated for all classes when potential came out (or at least will be when Big Bang removes accuracy concerns for Warriors). Ideally, everyone should leave their secondary stat some amount lower than what they need for their gear. Warriors do not have a secondary stat for gear purposes, so they should always be "dexless". Visitor part 4 spoilers - Fenne - 2010-09-20 If they nerf the medal, its a classic Bait and Switch. EVERYONE wanted that medal. We all play, do the events, yada yada. And then they change it a month and half after the event has started? -_- Visitor part 4 spoilers - Jamie_Kurosawa - 2010-09-20 Fenne Wrote:If they nerf the medal, its a classic Bait and Switch. They did this to the medals we got from the Christmas and New Years events. Originally the permanent medals had +2 ATT and M.ATT. After an update they didn't have anything for stats at all. Yeah the Time Traveler medal going from +10 ATT/M.ATT to this is completely lame. I hope it is TMS only affected too but then again... leave it to Nexon... Maybe it's Nexon's way of saying "pineapple you, stop extracting data, you did this to yourself, we never garunteed a pendant like that." Visitor part 4 spoilers - CarrionCrow - 2010-09-21 Statless: To have no points invested in secondary stat. Some use weapons without stat req (weak before VIP weapons came out), some let their needs be carried by gear. An idiot gets it from potential, a wise onw from normal gear stats. Low stat: To have a few points invested in secondary stat. A cheaper option to statlessness. That's how I see it, sorry if there was any confussion. No, I understood you just fine, however, what gear could be worn to possibly have enough DEX to wear lvl 80 thief top/bottom set without using any gear that has a lvl req. below lvl 71? You'd have to get all of your secondary stat from common class equips, such as rings, CHTP, CZak , etc. I suppose if you had an extremely well scrolled CZak, you could pull it off, and a "statless" build would be viable, but, I really doubt it'd make that big of a difference, and it would only really be worth it if you had a nicely scrolled 107 claw or a VIP claw. You make it sound harder than it is. Granted it's easier for thieves since we have DEX scrolls for lots of stuff. Visitor part 4 spoilers - Stereo - 2010-09-21 Yeah, having minimum base dex (4 or 20 or 25 depending on class) is by far the easiest. - helm (30 dex) - medal (3 dex) - rings (8 dex total?) - earrings (15 dex) - belt (7 dex) - cape (10 dex) - pendant (22 dex) = +95 dex Level 80 gear is thus equipped - shoe (15 dex) - bottom (20 dex) - top (5 dex) = +135 dex What with 25 base dex and all, that's a Lampion, with room to spare... the 30 dex helm is the closest to a "godly" item here, if you do have a nice CZak helm you don't need the dex cape. It also lets you have lv.120 gloves with SE if you want. Visitor part 4 spoilers - Chameleonic - 2010-09-21 Doesnt BB change the damage formula so that both primary and secondary stats give the same increase for your damage? How are a 30 DEX Helm, 15 DEX Earrings, and 8 DEX Rings easy? Also you forgot about Broken Glasses/Spectrum Goggles. I've never seen Spectrum Goggles go into what I would call the same price range as the helm/earring I mentioned. Even 2 dex goggles are like 500mil last time I was shopping. ings aren't "easy" per se, but I do have 7 dex in rings. I also skipped the rat mouth... there are plenty of expensive alternatives. |
