I actually like your idea of contests Eos. It would be a unique way to draw in some more traffic and maybe get specific sections of the forums more attention. BTW....contests are my specialty. LOL! (ask Gog)

ETA: I also would like to see another donator option other than paypal. Not sure what else we could use, but having more than one option is always appealing and beneficial.

Rob Wrote: Like what Paul had in mind, content on the forums, direct links to extractions, guides, another content that could be created. Featured blogs, polls, etc. Something the new user could use as a start to get into the board.

Fiel's Musings or Eos' Contemplations?
bring back the Democracy forum with polls?
show the calender on the front page with MS-events, and if arranged some sorta games or whatnot on SP.
maybe have users input weather forecasts from their areas?
maybe give a link to some "introduction to the moderation staff and the site's rules" thing in bold, attention-grabbing location?
links to the iRC's?

First major change made and the funhouse will never be the same. Can anyone even find it? Rolleyes

Regarding the new div block images:

Can the removal of this be voted on in site discussion? I'm hating it more and more. For one thing, it cuts off big images, making it annoying to view. Second, middle clicking does not allowing scrolling within the image div block. If you're really still against page horizontally stretching, I'll bring up this suggestion again. Unlike the current code, you can view a large image without squinting your eyes and focusing your mouse on a 5 pixel-thick horizontal scroll bar and it doesn't stretch pages.

This. Please.

I'm sorry, but I have the third the nomination of the large image resizing.
The scroll bar is not user friendly by no means. Its very troublesome.

Also voicing my displeasure for this div block. It makes posts annoying to read through.

Sure, if I wanted to view the whole image, I could just view the image from its source. The problem is that it makes posts an eyesore, and makes it impossible to view posts that have large images as a whole. It feels like I'm trying to read a post on notepad with wordwrap off.Don't even get me started on comics, you have to open those in a separate tab if you wanna read them, which is annoying if there are multiple pages for the comic that would, under normal circumstances, fit together nicely.

There. Not the same as SSA due to version support issues, but a workable version with somewhat similar behavior.

I cant see the details in the image even after clicking it. They seem to be auto-resized and still not in their original form...

Worked for me with Opera and IE. Browser?

Transition Q&A - Sn1perJohnE - 2010-07-10

So, will there be an option to have images load at full size? Its both frustrating and annoying when you want to look at something and go to yet another page to view an image when its already right there in front of you.

**using firefox

I'm getting the same problem. And I completely agree with you, John. ._.

Edit: Firefox.

Eosian Wrote:Worked for me with Opera and IE. Browser?

Most likely Firefox, as I am using.

As for Google Chrome, I'm getting similar incidents of resized images that won't stretch to it's original size.

I just tried IE and it doesn't resize the image before or after I clicked on it to open in a div box. I did however got a hugeass black box that stretched from top to bottom of the page. O_o

It had a hard coded quirk in the js for images over a certain size, try now.

Opens a whole page just for the image X_X

Sn1perJohnE Wrote:Opens a whole page just for the image X_X

I have no idea what you're talking about. It opens the image inline in the same page as an overlay.

Transition Q&A - Sn1perJohnE - 2010-07-10

Clicked image>>that tab now becomes the direct link to said image.

So whereas the url would be southperry.net blah blah blah, the images actual url comes up and takes over the whole page, not the overlay, that im guessing is what basil uses.
