I say no because I used Slash blast until about 42ish. You need it to level fast in CPQ just because you don't really max Soul Blade until 52. I went with ShiKage's build and I have to say that I love it.

at lvl 3 its only usable by jumpcast, at lvl 6 its usable in certain situations without jumpcasting.
if youve played a gunner, it seems to me like it grows the same distances as recoil shot, but with 1 sp between growths instead of 2. recoil was useful for traveling by 15, and im happy with 7 soul runner. 10 just makes it cheap.

lvl 1 gets you nowhere, and drains your MP. and you dont have any to drain. (391 mp @ 45, with 100 mp medal)

Well I just went and maxed Soul Rush right after 11 Soul Blade 19 Mastery and 6 Booster. I think im training like 1.2x-ish as fast? I dunno.

Okay, I am stuck between which to max first.
Combo has to take time to gain orbs, and Soul Charge has some elemental effect on it. They both seem to give 1.2x damage, so which is the best choice? It seems I should choose Soul Charge since it has no wait time and also has a bonus effect? However, everyone seems to be choosing Combo instead. Why is this?
Also, which one of these builds is the most efficient:

combo offers versatility that soul charge doesnt -- there arent really any good holy weak mobs in 7x or early 8x. in 9x and higher, there are. combo offers a higher multiplier against everything. soul charge offers a higher multiplier for holy weaks. why get soul charge if the holy weaks around those lvls suck?

max driver 1st because it'll be one of your main mob attacks. i'm maxing combo after, because with combo i can train at gobies, wolf spiders, storm breakers and wind raiders. i'll be maxing soul charge just in time to train at the perfect place for a holy-dexless-dawn warrior, himes.

6 Booster 26 Blade? You lose some power on Blade but it still has max range/# of targets. :x

i just got to level 30 on my dawn warrior and was thinking is FA really that worth it for 2nd job dawn warrior? i know the pros are that it helps power strike and some what branish but i was thinking of skipping it in 2nd job , i haven't fully thought it through skill point wise , and if its not good to skip it would it be better to put the skill points into booster and leftover points into FA? i'm not sure if any really asked this question seeing as i just skimmed the whole thread ...

No. Just dump the points in it once you've maxed all your other 2nd job skills.
It only gives brandish like 2% more DPS but its not worth the lack of control that comes with FA.
Getting FA before maxed soul blade (which doesn't activate it) is just retarded anyways.

I would get 6 booster and 7 soul rush.
