Original Dragon Nest Thread - Alilatias - 2011-09-02 Ew, it turns out that the gift event has ended. Going to be painful playing my Sorceress without those extra 10 inventory and storage slots. Shame too, because I'm finding Sorceress rather fun so far despite only being level 7. (Jesus christ, toxic spray is amazing, no wonder why that plate would be highly sought after.) CommanderJinn Wrote:So anyone know how the new content plays, and how much worth it they are? The edge of darkness is pretty hard without specific party setups. I don't even think it's currently possible to reach the final (24th) wave since the level cap limits what skills we can use, unless your group has ridiculously godly equips. Last time I checked, the furthest anyone got was the 19th wave. The group I was in reached the 9th wave, and all we got was some kind of fragment. I'm not sure what it's used for besides selling it for 15 silver. Not sure if it's even worth doing any more yet. This run took us like 10 minutes too. I have one piece of advice: Ranged enemies are BAD news in this place. The statue you're supposed to protect is pretty fragile, I'd estimate that it goes down in like 25 hits. And there are groups of like 5 enemies coming in from like six different directions. The carnival stuff is pretty amusing, and can be done solo very quickly. You get 6 tickets if you do the goblin rush or the boss rush, while you get 4 tickets if you do the treasure run or trap dodging thing. I haven't done the horse racing yet, since I think it requires a full party of 4. I'd say doing it occasionally is worth it, since you can get epic gifts for 16 tickets each (and you can give them to an NPC without raising another NPC's aversion), and rare reset sparks for 24 tickets each. There are these random pouches that cost 20 tickets as well, one for gems, one for sparks, and one for gifts. I got a pouch for gifts and it gave me two epic gifts (some on the forums are reporting up to 4, although be careful about the randomness of the gift pouch, as one of the gifts currently cannot be given to any accessible NPC). Original Dragon Nest Thread - Holypie - 2011-09-02 Alilatias, I have both sorceress classes and I think it depends on your playstyle which one you would prefer. Mystics can incapacitate large mobs with hitstun through toxic spray and triple orbs, as well as time stop and gravity crush. Time acceleration is a GODLY party skill, the damage is fairly high (not as high as elementalist) and getting high combos is really quite easy. For elementalists, the focus is on raw damage with stuff like fireball and inferno that do ridiculous damage (some people do 15k and up with fireball). I find myself dying a lot more on my elementalist because the blink skills are more offensive (a mystic gets a second shock wave for one of them, very handy), as well as the lack of long range attacks or teleport. Elementalists are amazing at soloing while mystics are highly sought out for in parties later on. Original Dragon Nest Thread - Alilatias - 2011-09-02 Many thanks. Looks like Mystic is the one for me then, as I favor classes that have some kind of support element. Looks like I'll be playing the carnival games. Go horsey! Original Dragon Nest Thread - raizoo - 2011-09-02 Went to Jellitrium an hour or two ago, party already got to 21R on Argenta. iirc their party setup was 1 archer, 3 sorcs. I think 2 mystics and 1 ele. THE HORSE THING IS SO FUN. I WANT TO PLAY MORE. ;_________; Original Dragon Nest Thread - Reako - 2011-09-02 Awww yeah, I knew I'd do it someday
Spoiler
Even got a gold chest! It was... a galero :| Better than nothing I suppose. Original Dragon Nest Thread - Abrasive - 2011-09-02 I've gotten 4 gifts from that one pouch so that is confirmed. it was 4 gifts for bailey. Original Dragon Nest Thread - Reako - 2011-09-03 That seems to be about the average solo time for a priest or paladin... I know geared archers or sorceresses can do it in 30 or so, but it's much much harder for them. Original Dragon Nest Thread - raizoo - 2011-09-03 Last round of Jealous Atrium is.... 2 manticores. Loving Mystic so much that I decided to get perma angel wings for her. Hm, where's that SouthPerrican DN list... Serendis is her name. I kinda got owned though. I bought 5 slots of extra storage for her, only to find out that you get free 10 slots of extra storage at Level 16 anyways, despite the leveling gift event being over. Ah well, more storage isn't bad anyways. (You also get the expiring NX costumes during Level 10-14 as opposed to something like 5-9 like before.) On a bright note, I made my first +12 weapon after 3 using sets of jellies.

Feelin' good? Saving jellies for Sea Dragon gear, y0. So 1.5+ years from now.... Original Dragon Nest Thread - 案山子 - 2011-09-04 Alilatias Wrote:despite the leveling gift event being over. It's not over, technically, just altered. Some said this new version of it is the permanent version, whereas before was the initial event version. I heard SEA got the same thing, just that they actually told their players about it whereas Nexon ninja'd it in and didn't let anyone know. Original Dragon Nest Thread - Mike - 2011-09-04 To the Pineapples guild: I made a cleric BEFORE it was mainstream. Haha. Hana Wrote:On a bright note, I made my first +12 weapon after 3 using sets of jellies. Holy moly, Hana... On the same note, I successfully enhanced an item to +7! Go me! Original Dragon Nest Thread - CommanderJinn - 2011-09-04 I've yet to pass +10 =/ I'm wondering what would be easier on the wallet; Jellies or Geodes? Original Dragon Nest Thread - Holypie - 2011-09-04 Depends if you're talking about your game wallet or your real wallet. Original Dragon Nest Thread - Jedward - 2011-09-04 IMPOSSIBURU.

Get enough money for +9/10 or higher with nice hiddens. :V |
