I hate it. Some noob walked into my channel whilst I was soloing and killed some CGOs. Next thing I know, I have a mob of 3 spawning in front of me while I'm attacking. They get pissed, naturally, and spam attacks at me as I get sed'd into a corner. I died.

Results:

Arm: ~ 7-8 minutes
Body 1: ~ 8 minutes
Body 2: ~ 18 minutes
Body 3: Bailed at about 55% ~ 60% of its HP left. (Or I should say, the casualty rate was around 80%+ during the 3rd body battle. =\)

But still a great run nevertheless. =D[/spoiler]

Goodness I spent so much time in the Time Temple today... Helped friends catch up more, finished Oblivion and then worked for several hours on the Pink Bean entry (Marble of Chaos) quest. Lyka's fun. I almost died the first time I fought him, but was saved with a miracle of heaven (he missed me twice when I was sed'd). After that mistake, I figured out how to do him safely. Seduce just wastes time.

Fun fun...but I wanna gouge my eyes out. Oh, and scroll from Lyka was Knuckler ATT 60%.

Only if you're not paying attention. The instant I see my HP go down some, I stop. I've never died from Damage Reflect yet. The farthest I got myself down was half HP.

My party so wasn't paying attention hahaha. I was warning them and the damage reflect, but they wouldn't listen. It was quite funny when our 2nd bishop used gene and instant death followed. Then she came back and used AR. Instant death again. Lilynouch's super-kb is annoying. And our bowmaster died 4 times. X_X But we won in the end.

I went on ONE Zakum run today, but as soon as the second body spawned, I got a C++ Visual Run-Time Error... >_> Then it turns out that the group left the Zakum run as soon as I disconnected, because it was impossible without my help. lol

First of all, Attack Up is a nice glowy Orange animation.

Second of all, Heal is the same purply animation you're thinking of.

Third, my friend's looked this up, and it's for a fact 80% success rate.

Fourth, maybe that's the way it is in KMS? But I'm anal as hell with observation and data (or most anything else I do for that matter =X), and this is what I saw in GMS. If an unknown monster X does something, and something pops up above its head, I will remember it. It does it three times without being close to dying, I will remember it forever. Heck, I even remember that Lilynouch (Lilino) casts Reflect every minute.

I'm SUPER excited to say that I can now solo Papulatus within one Speed Pill, or in time terms, under 10 minutes, using my normal equips and buffs. It's been a huge goal of mine for a while, and I'm excited to see it's accomplishment now at 185 (seen on my 197th solo picture).

Tomorrow's the big 200th Pap solo!

I was actually trying to warn you of it before it happened, but I guess I was too late o.O Bleh, next time I'll just speak up before fighting >_>

Oh, and for reference, you see purple, you can count on it being a reflect skill. Or it might not be. Best to be safe, you know.

Whatever, it was funny as hell. Isaac didn't find it as funny as I did when we both died but... I enjoyed it.

Kaj: No his reflect only works on Physical attacks not magic. You can keep attacking.
Me: I thought reflect was universal?
Kaj: No there's two different kinds.

What other one? There's only ONE purple skill Lilynouch uses, and it's Damage Reflection.

If you look closely at the symbol above it's head, you'll notice that it's a purple circle with a sword through the middle. I can't recall where I saw all 3 icons, but there are 3 different versions of the reflection skill: Physical Reflection (just the sword), Mana Reflection (just the circle), and Damage Reflection (both superimposed). In all my times of fighting Lilynouch, I've only seen it cast Damage Reflection, but I can assure you there are 3 versions.

Perhaps Pink Been uses the three on and off? Would make the boss battle a little more easy.

My mistake was that I assumed the wAtk Reflect didn't have a skull on it -_-; What the hell am I saying! Fact is I thought it was just wAtk Reflect >.<

PB only does the third one. Sucks.

One of the hawk statues uses all three though.

Anyways Big Grin...BIG NEWS from the FrozNlite front:

Yay for soloing Papulatus 200 times as an ArchMage! These past 6 months have been REALLY fun soloing the boss on and off, and I've come a long way in my solos. My first way back last year took an hour, and I've now gotten them down to a little under 10 min with my normal equips and buffs. It's a nice boss when you can kill it fastly for those who have busy lives, since you can kill it twice, do the Soul Collector quest, and organize shop, sell drops, etc., all within a nice 30 min chunk of time.

As for drops...not so nice. I'm LOLingly (new adverb yay!) proud to say that I've successfully soloed this boss 200 times without ONCE receiving any of the following: Brandish 30, Boomerang Step 30, Power Stance 20, or a Chaos Scroll. My best drops to date are 2 Hurricane 30s back when they were 20-30m, but aside from that I usually barely break even by selling two runs worth of pots. Hopefully in the future I'll have more luck, but I'm not going to be overly optimistic.

Anyways, just wanted to keep everyone updated and prove that yes, Magicians (especially LOLFPs), CAN INDEED solo bosses on a regular basis. It's a fun and USUALLY rewarding pastime, and I highly encourage any and all classes to solo when they can Big Grin.
