Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - Dark Link - 2014-06-16

Got a couple huge upgrades today. I'm up to 72% Arcane damage now.
I'm also slowly getting set pieces for Tal Rasha and Vyrs. Just need to get a GOOD RRoG and a couple more pieces. I might go Arcane Torrent (Cascade) build, but I don't want to abandon my Disintegrate Frown

My only worthwhile upgrade on Wizard lately. Still need a nice Magefist on it and a fire SoJ.

My Crusader is still one piece from full Akkhan. No luck on a RoRG or boots. I also need to get a FoTF but 2H Flails never drop for me so I'll probably have to... gamble. Frown

First Look: Patch 2.1.0

Pretty cool read.

My Witch Doctor is highly amused at this incoming change.

So how much will it differ from STR classes then? DEX and STR will become essentially similar in nature. Kinda hoping there'll be something more to it so DEX classes are a bit more different. I almost wish DEX gave crit chance, but I'm sure that'll make Demon Hunter stupidly powerful.

Can't wait to hear all the butthurt over this change since the community is already extremely sensitive over having people using their own rift frags in the first place.

I haven't played much D3 since getting ESO but I leveled my Crusader to 70. He's a lot of fun, definitely way better than Barbarian. I even have some plans for Crusader legendaries. Well they aren't really for any of the builds I've used but better than nothing.

I played my Wizard and the monsters were way stronger than I remembered. I forgot to cast Deflection and Prismatic Armor.

I probably have over 600 Rift Keys right now. I would never burn through them using them 5 at a time. Now it'll only cost 1? The only reason this is an issue is because Rift It Forward exists, and some people expect it is normal to open a Rift every 30 seconds.

The One With Everything change is weird. It's impossible for gear that's rolled Single Resistance to also roll All Resistance except for Thundergod's Vigor. The highest Single Resistance is 160. 30% of that is 48, a bit less than half of the potential that an All Resistance roll gives. They claim you will see a higher overall toughness in the end because of the DEX change without needing to gear so specifically, but if your gear happens to roll a Single Resistance, you're essentially forced to either adopt a Single Resistance of each type to balance it out appropriately and make this passive viable, or to completely drop that piece and hope you eventually reroll All Resistance for that slot on a new item.

They were the ones that made the conscious decision to make Single Resistance 60% better than All Resistance, knowing full well that they hadn't redesigned One With Everything yet, and now they're going to destroy a significant amount of high end gear. I don't think they made a statement about this change after 2.0 launched. Personally, I assumed it was a 1.0.8 issue and they were over it with 2.0, especially with the specific technicalities with secondary stats and Single Resistance rules.

I have around 390ish Rift keys, but I like doing the 2 for 1 exploit too much lol.

Some great runs last night? with Dark Link.

Got myself this baby:
I'll probably never find the other half. It didn't roll a very good damage, and it has Fear as well. At least there are ways for a Monk to combat that. Not sure if I want to reroll the damage to be higher or the VIT into IAS for more utility, but the potential DPS is lower by like 100.

Ran a bunch of T5 playing basically pure support on my Monk with another Monk using Raiment and a Marauder DH. They're so damn broken, it's ridiculous. Ended up with ~30+ more Souls.
Only current upgrade I found, to replace my pomegranatety 67 Shoulder finally
[Image: uXPU7ch.png]

Got myself some Raiment pants and would you believe it, Marauder Shoulders, too. I spent a bunch of effort crafting some Cold Resist Cain's Gloves and Pants a few days ago, and then I find Raiment of a Thousand Storms Gloves and Pants. Sadly, the gloves don't have ASI, and the pants have no holes in them. At least they'll be useable when that OWE nerf comes along, though I will be missing that chunk of ASI.

I really hope they buff Health Globe scaling for skills (or maybe ADD SOME FOR CRUSADER??). While they are a stronger healing option compared to Life on Hit right now, it still feels a bit weak for the cost and how generally spiky combat is, especially for Mantra of Healing's shield. I have 170k Health Globe Bonus and my shield's strength is only +70% of its base amount, from 43k to 70k. I think if I had perfect rolls on all 7 slots, the shield would be ~74k, and two of my slots right now are Rare instead of Legendary Health Globe which roll 10k lower so... I mean, I can totally see that this would be cheesy with four Monks spamming +300k Shield every 3 seconds but damn, the effect of gear isn't very significant here.

Finally got a Mirrorball, but it only had +1 extra missile. It still made a noticeable difference though. It's so weird that Conflagrate is much more useful than a lot of Wizard's spenders.

It took me 6 Mirrorballs before I got a +2 one. Rolleyes

I'm glad they're finally changing it, I'll take DEX being the same as STR over what DEX currently is anyday

Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - Endgame - 2014-06-23

Torment 1 is getting a little too easy (Even when I'm split off from everyone else and fight Elites on my own, it doesn't take too long and I'm rarely in danger of dying.), just wondering how much more geared I need to be before I can carry my own weight in T2, and for the drop rates to be worth more than the speed it takes to slaughter everything in T1.

Stats ingame: http://i.imgur.com/21wRENn.jpg (Attack Speed jumps to 69.60% with AC and Valor active.)

My wizard has about that much toughness and damage and deals with T3 easily, T4 is fair.
My WD doesn't have that much higher numbers, but the legendary effects and build make her deal with T4 easily, T5 is still decent.

Hard to say as a Crusader too. Attack speed, for example, tends to not be as influential because of how slowly Wrath builds (it's better to have an attack rhythm that rarely/never has you using your primary than one that blows out all of your Wrath too quickly and then requires you to use your Primary for a few seconds to regenerate it). Realistically you should be able to clear T2 or T3 pretty easily with those stats if you have a decent amount of +% elemental or skill damage stacked up.

PTR for 2.1.0 is online right now.

There's a new stash tab.

Patch Notes:
http://us.battle.net/d3/en/blog/14569138/patch-210-ptr-patch-notes-6-25-2014

They returned Gold pile icons but this is annoying.

They also need to fucking redesign Energy Twister. It's still terrible.

Can't say the seasonal legendaries are that significantly good. The Phalanx shield combined with Eternal Union might have some niche value, but Eternal Union can only roll STR as a damage stat so...

Curious about why some of the Wizard skills now have an initial 30 AP cost. Glad Disintegrate got buffed though.

It's pretty outrageous since it severely limits repositioning.

I haven't done that much so far, but from what I've seen
Monk's Rising Tide is really good now for generation. Overall generator damage is stupid high compared to spenders in particular. The Freeze options sound really strong but I haven't played around with them. Tsunami and Wall of Wind seems like it would be too strong, so I assume elites can resist the freeze unlike how they get permagimped by Horrify, or the old Numbing Light. There's still a lot to be desired for damage output though.
Tried running some rifts, but I ended up at 95% at one when I completed. Only managed to complete one T3 and didn't get a Key so I'll just try to get Greed's Domain, do some writeup and go back to Live for today.

Also, Kill dagger is still pomegranate. ty blizzy.

http://www.diablofans.com/news/48122-2-1-ptr-datamined-new-item-passives-stash-space

Diablofans has a datamine out, listing a few affixes that weren't mentioned in the patch notes.
ItemPassive_Unique_Ring_746_x1 - Energy Armor, Ice Armor, and Storm Armor affect all party members.
This caught my eye as being stupid strong.

ItemPassive_Unique_Ring_750_x1 - Chakram now generates {VALUE1} Hatred.
We finally have a Chakram item =D Looking forward to one day, hopefully, running Loaded For Bear + Arsenal + Twin Chakram Marauder =D
