Looks like it. He got the fire/thunder dragon mode aura after the attack was done, so it was clearly deliberate.
The gap between Laxus and the other fairy tail mages must be ever more ridiculously huge than I thought, given how easily he curbstomped a member of tartaros, where even mirajane and erza are having a tough time (and natsu only won against jackal because his magic being fire healed natsu every time he ate it).
Some of these seem like deliberate setups for Crime Sorcerie to save the day though, like wendy going into a place called "poison jelly valley" just screams for cobra to appear and help her.

Anyway, If Laxus could hear FT having problems and cross Fiore in like 1 hour to get to Tenrou island, Crime Sorciere sure can think up a way to do the same.

Them getting there is easy: Doranbolt has the best teleport magic, and he brought Oracion Seis there in the first place.

Oh god, I just realised that Mashima actually drew Charle getting half-eaten. That was more horrifying than I thought.
Wendy was so badass at the beginning of the fight, that I was almost disappointed to see Ezel shrug off her Sky Dragon's Talons attack. To make it worse, he subsequently brutalises her.
Of course, all is fine since it was just a set-up for her achieving Dragon Force!

This, It might eb weird but I really liked to see her cast all those buffs on herself. I wish would have put a bit more of a fight while using them as I'm sure she barely will as she fights in Dragonforce mode.

I think if natsu was aware of what had really happened, he would have tried to replicate it, as he did almost immediately with fire-lightning dragon mode. Both came from eating large amounts of strong magic, but he never even tried to replicate dragon force that we're aware of. Which would be a rather silly thing to do deliberately if he actually had understood what had happened.

377 - Was awesome. Wendy teleporting and kicking ass then drilling face with a tornado was definitely great although I wish he'd have seen a bit more of Ezel. Just a chapter ago he was totally badass with his 4 swords technique.
378 - I am glad we didn't have to wait 1 week for the obvious outcome. If it had been someone else like Grey and Juvia, I'd have actually questioned if they'd die or not, but since it was Wendy and they both have a bond to the only releporting mage in the whole story, no doubt he'd save them.
I also wish Mashima would make of FT's fights something more serious. The arguments for every arc always are pretty good but once they get to the fighting they always come on top with mere willpower and friendship (definitely not refering to Wendy's fight though) He doesn't even need to kill characters, he just needs to make their mages beat oponents with other than brute force. At this point the only thing that seems to be developing in this manga is fanservice, which gets heavier every special (Wendy washing her platypus with a Grey doll...).
