Fairy Tail Thread (Spoilers) - KhainiWest - 2014-01-24

Anyone else think that guy looks like frieza?

Fairy Tail Thread (Spoilers) - iVege - 2014-01-26

I'm hoping all the foreshadowing towards Silver = Gray is just a red herring. But that might be expecting a lot.

Fairy Tail Thread (Spoilers) - Lozmaster - 2014-01-26

I hope so too. The idea of a third character coming back from another separate timeline is getting ridiculous, especially since the first gate is now sealed.

I reckon perhaps Jellal knows about the fact that he is a seal for face, maybe he'll make the oracion seis into the seal for the spell in his place before he dies. After all, the guild did exist to seal away a powerful magic in the first place (albeit, it was Zero the first time, that seal clearly isn't working any more)

Fairy Tail Thread (Spoilers) - iVege - 2014-01-31

I forgot that we haven't seen Sema yet. It's powerful, I guess, but it's nothing special or unique.

But can you imagine if jellal had used that in the grand magic games though?

That's one to way to murder the entire pineappleing audience, I suppose.

...

And is he blind now? That seems like an awfully silly thing to do when just closing your eyes should work... (Erza closed her non magic eye against midnight and his illusions didn't affect her afterwards).

Fairy Tail Thread (Spoilers) - byakugan - 2014-01-31

What is silly is that Mashima would try to make us think Jellal's life was in danger only to pull a "kjust kidding, just kill the exchairman and presto". At least I'd have prefered Tartaros would start a ritual to make Lissana the next key, forcing Natsu, Erza and the guys back in the guild to break out/find tartaros before her life was taken.

And wait a minute, someone tell me, is Elfman being controlled or just being blackmailed to destroy fairytail?. I get he lived with the trauma of thinking he killed Lissana for many years, but they all should be as much of a family to him as she is, would he really throw them away for this "little"?

I think it's mind control, but of the more subtle type. He's definitely under the effects of Macro, though, with his eyes and the lines of Sayla.

By the way, Midnight was unable to reflect Sema. Considering its properties, I'd thought he would. That's what made Midnight so broken in the first place.

In the end he's just a wannabe Accelerator.

Fairy Tail Thread (Spoilers) - iVege - 2014-02-07

GOD DAMN IT. Fairy Tail building is lost again. That was my only thought at the time, so it probably took away much of the impact from that scene. So unfortunate.

I liked the chapter though. It's getting me pretty excited.

Seriously can't wait to see what happens to Mira. Mashima clearly intends to involve her Satan Soul with this in some way.

Tempesta (dude looks like a woman) and Minerva got a makeover, but Jackal is more or less the same. Not that I really care for Jackal anymore, after his fight with Natsu. And though I already kind of knew this, it's a bit disappointing to see that the reincarnation was not unique to Tempesta, but to all of the Kyuukimon. Doesn't really matter in the big picture, of course. Though Tempesta does have that amnesia-thing to do with the reincarnation.

Shame that Kyouka dropped down a few spots on my competence list. She lacked a bit of knowledge and, as lampshaded by Franmalth, did not think things through very well. And that sweatdrop and the need to hold onto something for balance (which tbh I liked, but just mentioning it). I still like her, of course, but she's become less badass for sure. Which I'm also fine with, and like.

Rolleyes

I wonder how they're going to get out of this one with no-one killed again...(fairy sphere again to the future a second time, lol).

Next chapter title is interesting though, Heavenly dragon presumably refers to wendy (or grandine/polyrulshka), but why I wonder. A massive healing spell, maybe?

She gains the spell to "purify" demons!

Fairy Tail Thread (Spoilers) - iVege - 2014-02-14

I don't mind the way Fairy Tail escaped the explosion. More Cana spotlight and a Shou reference (and iirc Hoteye/Richard already referenced Wally).

What is this "Demonic Factor" they speak about? Is that an actual term...? Because Mirajane says it has been revived. I wonder what that means.

This chapter was basically Fairy Tail making their comeback.

I wonder if Heat Blade will become Natsu's permanent weapon like the Musica Sword or Fleuve d'étoiles. :3

Didn't expect the Demonic transformation to heal Mira. I thought It'd make her stronger, yes, but heal completely?

This should be interesting considering they brought the entire guild. But they were defeated last time, what makes this time any better?

Imagine if they took the cube as the new fairy tail HQ lol

Why did she need healing?

When did they lose last time?

I am confused.

She didn't need healing. Her and Erza were drugged with something in the tea the exchairman served them that knocked them out.

Fairy Tail Thread (Spoilers) - byakugan - 2014-02-17

Like many I actually like they got out of that situation with Cana countering Tartaros plan and throwing a counter offensive right after, but what I don't like is that Fairytail seems to have already suspased Tartaros and is pushing it to a corner. They are all in enemy territory, at the very least Kyoka should have stayed in the command room managing her resources in other to keep the fairies to reach uppercube.

It doesn't seem like there's chance for this, but I wish this whole thing about getting to uppercube would be done ala Saint Seiya, having to get through the 12 horoscope houses to reach the top of the sanctuary before iathena dies (in this case face being activated).

Damn you Kyouka, you fucking disappointment...

And not just in performance. She doesn't look as good as I thought she would in colour either.

I must admit it was quite pathetic having her sweating while chained and answering all of Erza's questions. Then when you think she will reassert her position as the main villain of the arc, she gets impaled through the whole cube by a wounded and burnt out Erza.

Like someone in mangastream said, this is a rule to shounen manga, the main guys always winning and overcoming dificulties through nakama power, but at least most others make it look a lot more dificult.

Fairy Tail Thread (Spoilers) - Lozmaster - 2014-02-22

There was no reason to assume Kyoka was a fighter in the first place.

She already has extremely useful magic powers (or curses if it really matters) in that she was able to revive the other members after death, is able to forcibly turn people into demons, and modify peoples sensation to pain (and possibly other feelings).

In fact, that last one is why I don't care too much. Ok, yeah, she was making erza scream in pain when she was hitting her with a whip.

But so what? Kyoukas magic means that even superficial damage would cause her to react like that, and getting whipped a bit for the person who routinely takes the most punishment (For instance, way back in the shadow lord arc, Tanking an entire hit from Jupiter herself that would have destroyed the entire town, then fighting the 3rd strongest member of a guild and then the master, or the grimore heart arc where she fought Meredy, Asuma (including taking 2x his terra chrymals and being the only person to win a fight without the magic boost provided by the tenrou tree), or beating all 100 of those monsters in the GMG when the strongest alone was supposed to defeat a wizard saint) in the series is seriously selling her short.
