Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion - Polantaris - 2014-04-11 ChronosXIII Wrote:Hmm, I don't know about having another one from Zelda. With the Sheik split, that's four characters from that universe now; I don't think Melee or Brawl ever exceeded that. I don't have a screenshot of the Ridley preview to compare, but I'm almost positive it was the new Metroid stage they were showing off earlier. https://d3esbfg30x759i.cloudfront.net/ss/zlCfzReIEp4qSu4lC- https://d3esbfg30x759i.cloudfront.net/ss/zlCfzRK1poUuilBvQ1 It was also directly after talking about Yellow Devil and bosses from various games appearing as stage hazards. In fact, I think that it was mentioned that other bosses would show up at the same time it showed Ridley's shadow. Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion - byakugan - 2014-04-11 Am I the only one underwhelmed by what they showed of megaman? His animations looked pretty simple and slow compared to a lot of what was shown. Heck look at how flashy and fast Greninja is, sure I wouldn't ask for megaman to be like him but... I'm afraid Megaman might just be a filler character with no purpose besides help sell the game Super Smash Bros. Literally any character looks simple and boring in the hands of the average player. See him played by a professional and i guarantee it'll be flashier than you consider it to be now. I can't agree, really. What I've seen so far is everything I could have ever hoped for in a Smash Bros. rendition of Mega Man. Super Smash Bros. His attacks just so look so pathetically small and ineffectual. Not a fan of that character at all.

His attacks just so look so pathetically small and ineffectual. ???? His aerials all look very strong all with great range. His up and down air both seem to keep going until they hit the blast zone, but the up air probably disappears halfway or so up. His crouch slide and buster shot have stopping power unlike anything we've seen in other titles (the only comparable projectile is falco's laser but megaman's is A LOT faster). His gear projectile has incredible range, probably the longest range projectile in his arsenal, and its ability to cover the diagonal directions above and below him as well as being able to be used as a pick up item makes megaman's control of other characters in any direction around his body completely unique and extremely difficult to handle. Pretty much any of these moves can be used for approach and there's a much higher chance you're going to be successful compared to other approaches we've seen in other games outside of meta knight tornado spam. His attacks might be hot pomegranate, but they just look really boring to me. Like I could play him but not feel like i'm doing any real damage. Super Smash Bros. But before the game, you can outfit yourself with certain items that can help power you up early, which will give you a big advantage later on!! These items are much like the Powers you'd find in Kid Icarus: Uprising. Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion - Thugnificent - 2014-04-11 As much as I hope to see Chrom in this game, I really want Eliwood with Durandal (at least as an assist lol) somewhere in the smash bros franchise. On the star fox side, perhaps Krystal with the staff? Do you guys think Ganondorf got pushed out considering that Shiek is a separate playable character? If not maybe he will be Ghirahim or Demise? That being said, I'm already really happy with the game as it is and greninja is possibly my new main just because Ike is now gone and idk about toon link anymore. Hype hype hype!!! Super Smash Bros. What makes you think Ike is gone? I'd say the simple fact that a very large amount of brawl newcomers made it back into this means Sakurai is making very little or NO cuts at all this generation. Wouldn't surprise me one bit. You shouldn't cut anyone off just yet. Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion - ShinkuDragon - 2014-04-11 Justin Wrote:What makes you think Ike is gone? Wii U and 3DS Discussion - Thugnificent - 2014-04-11 As said above, Ike is irrelevant now, they were quick to get rid of Roy when Ike came around, so I'd say its pretty likely he's on the chopping block. I would rather they just add in Chrom instead of replacing but I just don't see it happening that way. Im worried for Lucas as well as Capt Falcon and MR G&W, but I get the feeling its gonna be a troll until the 3ds release.... Super Smash Bros. Ike and Marth were the only (not awakening) fire emblem characters referenced in Awakenings main story mode, having an entire bonus chapter set vs ikes descendent priam using ikes sword ragnell. They also made no hesitation multiple times in the DLC as calling ike various versions of "the strongest person to have lived". He's in a much better position for returning than Roy ever was. ChronosXIII Wrote:The Ridley one is still confusing me because I don't recognize that stage. If it was a Metroid themed stage, I would be leaning more towards Ridley being one of the new, stage boss elements. I don't know why you don't recognise it,it has been shown a bunch of times. It's the Pyrosphere area from Metroid: Other M Super Smash Bros. Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion - Thugnificent - 2014-04-11 You know considering that Chrom and Lucina are like Marth (Lucina is practically a clone) ,Id hope to see Chrom using a Lance at least once, but Ive thought about it and id rather have a Villian from the franchise instead.
