Also, killing all council members so ethereon can't be used doesn't sound like a logic argument. You mean to say that if whatever is left of the council learns of Tartaros' guild's location, or if Tartaros was walking with a whole army towards them they'd be like "oh shet too bad we are short on people". That's simply stupid.
In any case, the part when the plot started to come to surface is an example of what makes me enjoy FairyTail. If only the fights were as unpredictable of the plot.

Nah, that's realistic. They're essentially in control of a magical nuke. They can't activate it without enough of the higher ups "launch codes" so to speak, even if they wanted to. Those people being dead probably means that it literally cannot be used. They probably made the rules even tighter on how it can be used after they were tricked by a person trying to use it to revive the worlds greatest evil (zeref), as far as they knew.

IDK if I got it right but it seems killing the council members that form the seal on face is enough to break it, that's a much better argument as to why they wanna kill them all than to prevent them from using Ethereon.
Anyway great chapter, I just hate the little screen time that was given to Elfman and Lissana's issue. He should just cut his arm off, for someone that's always boasting about acting manly there sure wouldn't be something more manly than losing one arm to save your little sister.
As for Natsu figuring out Erza and Mira are in danger... thats kind of dumb. He was supposed to be unconcious, plus FT dispached many groups all around, how did he figure from all people those two are the ones in danger?

Everyone except team elfman and erza checked in to say they were too late,so that narrowed it down. They were told by mikelo last chapter that the only person who knew the details about face in the first place was the exchairman, who erza and mira went to see.

Going by shounen rules, she'd go in a speech such as "oh, I am impressed you'd go to such extents for a mere human" yada yada yada. I'm sure he could take Lissana with his other hand and run away really fast.

Maybe. He did get his "The Beast" take over by the animal first transforming him into the form of "The Beast", so maybe it could work the same way.
It has just struck me, Tartaros has now incapacitated all 3 active S rank mages (Since gildarts is god knows where, and mistgun can't come back, they don't count). And they're totally going to kill the large ex chancellor guy too once he's no use to them, since he could easily be one of the seals.

The most interesting in this chapter so far must be Mirajane's "conversion". Is that the same process they're doing to Minerva? Anyhow, if she's becoming a demon, then it's gonna be all the more interesting, since her magic is Satan Soul. Mirajane might be very plot-relevant in this arc. Maybe, maybe not. I hope she is, though.

Chances are Natsu will get beat upand will be left alive and free to deliver a message to the rest of the guild, but Natsu's battles have been full of BS for a long while now, he might take them both and escape for all its worth.

Lucy should still be talking to the guild with the communication Lacrima anyway, and she would have told them that Natsu was running off to the exchairmans place. Gajeel and Wendy should be able to find out where he went from the smell in the same way he did.

I am glad Natsu got taken out and is most likely going to get imprissoned for now. That should leave room for other people to shine like Lucy, Wendy, Gray, Juvia and room for Gajeel and his Iron Shadow magic to finally shine (lolz).
That was a simple way to get around the little detail of why would Tartaros kill Atlas Flame thinking he was another demon, but I'm glad it got dealt with. As to who he is, first thing that came to my mind was "Gray from the future", but its so unlikely that I'd actually be really amazed if that was it. For now I will lean to the "Ul's lover and father of Ultear".

This is it. I think I already posted this too when we saw him visiting a grave that probably belonged to Ul.
The future idea is ok, I suppose. But a person travelling again from another timeline has already been done.

All it would take would be for Lucy and happy to stand before Natsu with teary eyes for him to break out of the curse and kick tartaros. The same for Mira except with Elfman and Lissana....
What a second, maybe thats the deal Mashima has in mind and why he's making that girl capture Elfman and Lissana, yo make them all demons and work with Tartaros?

I was a bit disappointing by the fact that Natsu was already thawed at at the beginning of the chapter. His "statue" was badass, and I didn't really want to see Silver's ice being thawed so easily. Probably better than a Natsu-thawing sub-plot, but I just wanted to see him frozen for a little longer. Completely remedied by the fact that he was thrown in with Lisanna, though.
Return of the female fanservice, but funnily enough, it's not from Gray. And I think Gray has never been fully naked like Natsu is here, except for that one panel in the Tenrou Island arc. Also funnily enough, Gray is still fully clothed over at Fairy Tail.
This is the first time we have gotten Lisanna fanservice, I believe! And also, NatsuxLisanna tease! I read that the author was only supporting NatsuxLucy, which got me sad, but after half a year of sadness, I'm happy to know that NaLi got fanservice outside of anime-original scenes as well. Anyone notice how Natsu reacts totally different to naked Lisanna compared to naked Lucy? Well, this could be as big of an argument for NaLu as for NaLi, but whatevs.

Makarov continues to be useless, while Happy becomes more and more useful. And while I thought it was obvious that Happy would tell Gray about what happened if not for the fact that it would cause a few problems in the scene, I remembered that Happy didn't actually see Natsu getting thawed out, so he must still be pretty traumatised, so it's justified, I guess.
So Elfman will turn on Fairy Tail. Well, thanks to the fact that his eyes have turned red, that fact probably wouldn't take too long to notice (if manga characters notices stuff like that). And looking at this current state, it doesn't look like he'll try to fit back in. It looks like he'd just "unexpectedly" hit someone from his own guild, making the others surprised and stuff. Which won't end well for him, unless something unexpected happens. Or maybe the Fairy Tail members will go full retard over their confusion, but I hope Mashima goes for a more original route.
