Good freaking LORD.

I walked through the Trade channel, and EVERYTHING was freaking CLOTH ARMOR. I CAN'T WEAR CLOTH. IT SHOULD GO AWAY.

Geez.

I concur. Cloth might as well be the reject armor.

Why are you guys hating? Cloth is the best!

Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - xLeviathan - 2009-10-16

I tried doing the earlier levels on a new character...but I still can't get S/SS/SSS on any of them no matter what I do.

Any tips? o-o; I was hoping it would provide insight on how to do it for further levels.

Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - Fiel - 2009-10-16

Unequip everything, then enter into a level then leave to go into frustration mode. Then re-enter again.

"Hey guys! I'm cloth! I give you less than 50% of the defense that leather does! My only pros over other armor is higher spirit and intelligence! Fk yeah!"

Oh, and...

"Hey guys! I'm the expert HP/MP potion! I heal a nice juicy amount of HP! I'm for anyone lvl 36 and higher because I'm just that cool! And you know I'm too good for those intermediate losers, so I'll start dropping much earlier than I really should!"

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF------- I'm lvl 34 and I'm not getting USEABLE potions in case you didn't get the hint >_>

Blue Eucharists are useable.

So are intermediate HP potions >_> Give me some because I'm definitely not getting enough.

I'ma probably be potion farming on 1st Spine for a while. At least until I get to lvl 36.

Way to not know about the differences between our Cloth and Leather masteries! Cloth Mastery gives more Max MP, MP Recovery Speed and Casting Speed. All things I find vastly more preferable to increased Magic Crit Rate.

Why would I need Defense when I hardly get hit soloing? My massive MP and increased recovery rates allow me to do almost any King's FC solo without using MP pots. Increased Casting Speed is a bonus that works with my style well.

I'm downloading DFO atm to try it out, and I know nothing of the classes beyond the names. :<
How balanced are they? Any beginner-friendly ones? How potion-heavy is the game/different classes?
Thinking of battlemage, is that bad/risky for a beginner?

The game is slightly potion-heavy IMO, but you're supposed to try not to use any potions. As for beginner-friendly classes, I would suggest you try being a Mage of some kind - Battle Mage is probably okay.
