The Western market is vastly different than the Korean market. They already announced that they listened to the community and are currently debating to come up with a new plan. There is nothing wrong with "Founder Packs", but the 3 months was just too big of a gap for me. Who is going to play though? Tree of Savior - Justin - 2016-03-16 I'm going to give it a shot once it's available for free. But if they stick to the 3 month early release I won't bother. Looking forward to it! Tree of Savior - RedRaven16 - 2016-03-16 Hmm 100 tp is supposed to be about 9$, so if you where already planning on buying about 600 tp you might as well get the top tier founder pack. Though for the other 2 you actualy pay more per tp then what they say the price per 100tp is. Odd to have 100 tp be 9$ though. Im seriously considering getting that top tier founder pack, but I'm still not sure I want to Tree of Savior - Justin - 2016-03-16 RedRaven16 Wrote:Hmm 100 tp is supposed to be about 9$, so if you where already planning on buying about 600 tp you might as well get the top tier founder pack. The TP isn't the problem, the problem is they're selling 3 months early access to something that should still be in beta. They even said they'd do an open beta "soon", and then they announced this crap. Buying into this just encourages game devs/publishers to keep exploiting their customers. It's bullshit. Tree of Savior - Chew - 2016-03-16 What a cash grab on that early access Tree of Savior - RedRaven16 - 2016-03-16 Justin Wrote:The TP isn't the problem, the problem is they're selling 3 months early access to something that should still be in beta. And you explained why I dont want to buy the package its litteraly the one thing that holds me back is that this might destroy/hurt the chances of this game being F2P friendly. Tree of Savior - Kunagisa - 2016-03-17 Game dead on arrival. Tree of Savior - Spadow - 2016-03-17 https://forum.treeofsavior.com/t/announcement-regarding-changes-in-plans/145592 Option 2 seems to be getting the most votes. Tree of Savior - Kunagisa - 2016-03-17 Spadow Wrote:https://forum.treeofsavior.com/t/announcement-regarding-changes-in-plans/145592 Is it just me missing something, or is option 2 stacked to just be the better overall deal? It has more benefits than the other two options. Quote:C. Benefits : 650 TP + 1 x 60 day Token + 2 Hair Accessories (Hanaming + Popolion Doll) + 1 Companion (Hoglan) + 1 Stat / Skill Reset Potion Edit: Never mind, I understand why. Tree of Savior - Flonne - 2016-03-17 Seems underhanded to me to put so much better stuff on one with more time before, by all rights the one with less time before should have more stuff to make it worth it. That said, I don't agree with any of them, I hate the idea of founder's packs and early access and pay2premium, either make it a p2p/b2p or make it f2p, trying to cross the two is a one way ticket to a dead game that dies hated by literally everyone. The "reward" on the option with less time is that there's less time! :^) Because, you know, it's not like they had over half a year to prepare the server space needed for the server opening. I'm actually considering giving it a shot. Hoping to give the cleric or wizard branches a shot first. Tree of Savior - Hanabira.Kage - 2016-05-13 Question: I hear there's a limit of like 10 job advancements or so per character. Does this include raising the rank of a class you already have? i.e. Would going from Swordsman 1* all the way to 3* already count as 3 (or 2 perhaps, if the starting one isn't counted) out of the 10 or so advancements? Or will it only count as 1 since I wouldn't have changed any classes, just stuck with the same one?
Perhaps Spadow; would be best equipped to answer this question? Tree of Savior - Untradeable - 2016-05-13 Hanabira.Kage Wrote:Yes, There's 10 advancements total, and each rank you move, or each job you change, counts as an advancement. Going from Wizard 1 to wizard 2 uses an advancement, and going from wizard 1 to cryomancer 1 also counts as an advancement. Tree of Savior - Polantaris - 2016-05-14 As far as I'm aware, you also lose out on any advancements you choose not to go for. So, for example, as a Wizard, your first advancement can be either Wizard 2, Cryomancer, or Pyromancer. If you decide to go Wizard 2, you're permanently locked out of both Cryomancer and Pyromancer. If you go Cryomancer, you can't go Pyromancer, and vice versa. It's a very unique system. That being said, I kinda wish there were a circle reset system in some way. I can see entire characters being shunned based on choices that seemed good at the time, or nerfs to a class making it unwanted, thus making your character useless and all that time wasted. I'm not a big fan of the "break out Excel and every single resource there is about the game and spend 20 hours deciding on what you do before you actually play the game even a tiny bit" meta. Anyway, I'm considering making a Wizard as an alt to play when I'm sick of playing my Swordsman. I'm wondering whether I should go Chronomancer or Sorcerer. Both seem to be quite popular, I believe, though the former might be too commonplace and the latter too much of a pain to strengthen (via farming and levelling boss cards). I'm also fairly interested in Warlock... Suppose I decide to scrap Warlock. I'm thinking of Wizard C1 -> Cryo/Pyro C1 -> Linker C2 as the lead-up, followed by either C3 Chrono or Sorc. I fear that by going Chrono C3, which is nearly a FS build, it might hurt my ability to do anything if I'm unable to find a party. And as mentioned before, boss card farming is likely to be a pain in the ass so Sorc is going to be tough to build up too, but it should be much better equipped for soloing should the need arise. EDIT: That's weird. Wasn't "ass" supposed to be censored into "pimento"? Tree of Savior - GodHaseo - 2016-05-14 I decided to go in the game blind and build what I feel like and I'm enjoying it for the time being to understand the game. |
