I think it's just her way of describing her magnetic powers, with which she moved Jaune's shield during his battle with the ursa. It's a "Semblance" apparently, which, I guess, is a category of special abilities, which Ruby's speed and Weiss's glyphs also fall under, according to Pyrrha.

No, we're at the end of Volume One. To my knowledge, there are two volumes for the first season.

Absolutely loved when Ruby called Penny her friend, and everyone else in Team RWBY went wide-eyed and fell to the floor.

More backstory for Blake, pleeeeease. After everyone expecting for her to be a faunus, I almost thought they were going to go in the other direction, Blake just being a human and faunus-supporter/sympathizer.

Weiss's backstory was cool too. Seemed like she referenced the "Black" trailer, what with the traincar filled with dust being stolen. I wonder if Adam will also be included, when Blake tells Sun Wukong about herself.
