What if their database is not TransactSQL compliant? (In other words, maybe they really cheaped out on the back-end and used MySQL instead of a transact system like SQLServer or Oracle...)

They use MSSQL, question is irrelevant.

I do wonder if these duping issues have been prevalent in KMS as well. I'd imagine if they were, they would've been taken care of by now. Any KMS players that care to shed some light on this?

Probably not, because they actually monitor their game down there. That's my guess.
