So just how far have you gone to prepare for the release of Pirates? - xxHannabixx - 2008-07-10

the only thing I've done, was make my infighter lvl 10 *Bittenbullet* I'm already transferring pots that I get from drops to it, (wyverns drop tons for me), as for equipment, I think i'll just stick to the npc stuff, if I really want to make godly equipment for it, i'll just transfer over my scrolled gear currently on my thief (earrings cape and 10attk wgs) it will just a be my mule of many, until i get bored of my main.

I made a level 10 beginner in Broa, set to become a gunslinger

I have a feeling it's going to be hard though, since I have ZERO funding there

Since when do you need funds to play a character?

I don't have a lot of funding in any world actually
But I'm used to not worrying about pot costs

Having to worry about pot costs will slow me down a bit.

You have the most unrealistic perception of people that disagree with you, ever. People that see things differently (i.e. aren't obsessed with Pirates to a degree that results in feeling the need to protect the pirate section of southperry from any and all outsiders who begin to doubt them or even demonstrate a lack of support), or prefer to play differently are not all "obvious trolls." Also, that analogy was one of the most horrible I have ever seen, but I won't respond to it since it wasn't directed to me.

Please refrain from all hostility in this thread.

Thank you. Biggrin

No one intrested in pirates wants to see them be made into sins with their a billionty meso scrolls.

I still need to sell a bunch of stuff and get some exchange quest items for my pirate which is currently level 10. I'm just too lazy.

I got a character to 10 and dumped him in Lith Harbor (so he can do the Path of Pirate quest). ._.

I got an idea for a name, and saved it on a Beran Mule. <3 "iHazzy". Creative, I know.XD

Because telling someone with a minor difference in opinion to never post again and leave the thread is hostile in no manner whatsoever. It becomes more apparent who the troll is with every post you make. I really don't think there's any way you could be fucked in the head enough to actually believe what you're saying.

Sir, I asked you to stop being hostile.

My points were extremely valid, and you have no reason to be on my back. Good day.

While by definition, any post that presents a disagreement could be called hostile, I'm confused why you use a word that has such a strong undertone to describe what I type, especially when commanding someone to leave a thread that is open to the public would fit that term better (Although I personally would probably never use the word to describe anything on the internet, unless it had a direct effect on real life, only because everything online is pretty harmless and undeserving of the word). Progress is made through differences and disagreements, and contentment results in a stagnant society, which is why you overreacting to it bothers me.

I mean, if you were joking all along, which seems more and more likely the more you use the term hostile and call people trolls lol, it would be a relief to me, and I would be able to laugh at myself for buying into it at first as well as laughing at an a amazing delayed troll topic (complete with actual pirate-related avatar + sig !!) that didn't start until many pages in. But until you make that more obvious I'm only going to be more and more intrigued by your dramatic and sensitive behavior that currently seems genuine, as stated above.

So, anyway. Back on topic:

I did more to prep for the Pirate release. Biggrin

I got a bunch more in funds, and started to aPQ more for the Apples. I'm currently farming the BBQ quest for the nice attack pots, and still collecting Leafre ETC to bring down the seed prices. Excellent

I've gotten my CB's entire gearset changed from luk gear to dex (previously a dexless asura user, now a low dex DT user), so when Pirates are out, all I have to do is use the bank, and sign up for a run to helm my character. I still have to finish training my beginner up to 29, though (I plan on HP washing to regain the lost HP from a late advancement). Assuming my friends are available to help me, and I'm not working, I -should- be able to get 50 on day 1 (for the SS of me being ranked 1 as much as levelling faster....lols). Rig CPQ with 2x is faster training than anything I've ever experienced.

At this rate, I'll be the first Infighter to reach level 50 without 2x EXP cards. Or Cash Shop-less.

I moved to kMS. I guess I'm the most prepared, haha. Tongue

I'm pretty excited to see what you guys will do with pirates with gear like you've been talking about in this thread.. Though I'm sure it'll make my character look even weaker than everyone already assumes it is, lmao. XD

So just how far have you gone to prepare for the release of Pirates? - Nielz - 2008-07-13

I made a char lv 10 with infighter stats
and god some nice funds
i also started in like the only semi-private server where pirate is out but there are much bugg's cuz when you are gm and do !job 500 you get the gm job and !job 522 and 512 are pirate 4th jobs so you are missing the first 2 jobs because of the gm skills -_-' i'm going for infighter its away more fun and dmg.

Man, I seem to be so much more relaxed about this than most. I have no intention of starting a beginner until I know when the patch is. I've just got two names saved to pick from, IDrankTheRum and VeryDrunk. I wanna savor every moment of piratey goodness, from Maple Island to KPQ and everything else in between and after. I'd like to think I'll level pretty quickly, but I have no aspirations of being number 1.

I haven't squared away much equipment, I've just been upgrading my existing character's stuff with common class equipment in mind. I've got the expensive bases covered I guess. Upgraded to Stompers and a 13att SCG on my Shadower recently, as well as a dex/strength PAC and dex earrings on my Sniper. I'll worry about OAs and other dex junk further down the line.
