It is different when it is posted continuously. Anime and other types of images aren't as consantly posted as MLP images which causes people to get annoyed by seeing the same thing over and over and over again. If people wanted to see image dumps all the time there would have been image dump threads every single day. Ever heard the term "absence makes the heart grow fonder"?

I don't care either way about spamming images. However using "Because it is no different from other reaction images" excuse is a very poor one. Because it does become different by the way and how often you do it.

It's not an image dump when you are posting ONE image.
Anyway you can not like it all you want, even if there was ponies everywhere. If it doesn't cross the line into Spam (outside the shanenigans), it's not wrong.

What is the point of keeping the current set of rules, when most users prefer to post in a sub-section with a more lenient rule set? The slippery slope?

Most users want me to pay them to visit the site too, I don't see how their desire to not have to abide the rules whenever they please is any more realistic.

I'm just pondering if the community necessity for a laissez-faire sub-section is a result of the current rules having a ~~cowering~~ crowding effect on the community. If the current community is avoiding the terms and conditions, surely there must be some problem with the conditions of the terms, the condition of the community with respect to the terms, or perhaps the issue pertains to both aforementioned factors. There is a point where rules become merely nothing more than pretense, rather than a realistic guideline for people to follow.

This is just speculation. Do not take it too seriously. The discussion is appreciated.

That's the equivalent of saying people who break the speed limit only do so because the speed limit itself is wrong.
Rules exist for a purpose, evading them has consequences, both the rules and the consequences must be enforced equally and consistently and whether or not people agree with them doesn't change their responsibility to abide by them or face the consequences.

Though the speed limit itself CAN be wrong, if you put 10km/h on a steep slope most cars can't go up, or having stupidly slow speeds on straight multi-lane highways.

I do agree with Eos here though, the problem is not the rules. The other sections of the forum have always worked very well inside them. The problem was always how to deal with leniency on the funhouse. However, I do agree the obscenity rule gets sillier every time it's updated, seriously now, even youtube-safe videos can now be not safe, if you have anything like a sexy dance or people saying naughty words it would be considered an offense by the new rule. And here was I thinking the world was going on a less pudic way with topless being allowed at beaches (where people younger than 18 are allowed, mind you) and stuff.

I said posting the same type of image in many posts. Not just a bunch of images in one post. And when did I ever say anything about not liking? Way to put words into my mouth.
