Doctor Who Mafia Game Thread: Day 9 - NoJobNoRules - 2011-05-25

DualReaver Wrote:This is also something I'd like answered for. Why did you say speak up?

I was assuming that he was hard of hearing as part of his role, so when being persuaded by anything, it would have to be caps. But then again, I have no idea.

Nah, it's just flavor of my hearing not being sub par. And because it was funny to see you type caps especially for me.

WHAT? Oh and if NJNR is suspicious then corn is at least as suspicious. What with all the vote changing some odd posting and generally unexplained behavior. I don't think NJNR is mafia and at this point and when i voted it seems like hes going to die. Corn just strikes me as the most suspicious.

Doctor Who Mafia Game Thread: Day 9 - Corn - 2011-05-25

What? You find it funny I'm not going after Synthesist right after the bat, and that I'm not instant roleclaiming as usual?

Also, can you point out my suspicious posts? I'll try to explain my behavior.

Doctor Who Mafia Game Thread: Day 9 - NoJobNoRules - 2011-05-25

Well, seeing as I still have 3 votes against me, I'll join the numbers to try and stay alive.

[vote] DualReaver

NoJobNoRules Wrote:Now that could mean that they're town aligned, but if they are a killer for the mafia, they would be a much greater threat to remove then voting for a fellow townie.

I am just a small town girl.

Doctor Who Mafia Game Thread: Day 9 - Corn - 2011-05-25

NoJobNoRules is dead. If he's telling the truth then TheBirds is dead.

vote NoJobNoRules

Doctor Who Mafia Game Thread: Day 9 - NoJobNoRules - 2011-05-25

If I'm telling the truth, then why would you be voting for me? Eliminate me, a townie, and then eliminate TheBirds? :/

Doctor Who Mafia Game Thread: Day 9 - Synthesist - 2011-05-25

NoJobNoRules Wrote:If I'm telling the truth, then why would you be voting for me? Eliminate me, a townie, and then eliminate TheBirds? :/

Just for the spirit of this being Doctor Who, I feel obliged to turn "eliminate" into "EXTERMINATE".

NoJobNoRules Wrote:If I'm telling the truth, then why would you be voting for me? EXTERMINATE me, a townie, and then EXTERMINATE TheBirds? :/

Doctor Who Mafia Game Thread: Day 9 - Holypie - 2011-05-25

Voting's closed, when dusk ends the day results will be posted.

Doctor Who Mafia Game Thread: Day 9 - ElectricSix - 2011-05-25

After much discussion, the group decided upon NoJobNoRules as being the most suspicious. However, before they could lynch him, the Doctor stepped in.

"That is not whom we should pick. DualReaver is . . ."

The rest of the people, without even letting him finish set upon DualReaver. He was Liz 10, a townie detective.

Quote:Dear DualReaver:

You are the Liz 10, the queen of Starship UK, a country full of secrets. You suspect that something is going on in your beloved nation behind your back so at night you may PM Holypie or ElectricSix with “Day X – Investigate USER” and their entire role PM is revealed to you. Additionally you may PM ElectricSix or Holypie with “Night X – Track USER” and you will stealthily follow them to find out the results of their night action. You win when all threats to the town are eliminated.

"What a terrible mistake to have been made, we must . . ."

Before the Doctor could finish, the scenery began twisting and changing. Flashing in and out, the Tardis arrived suddenly and opened up. The Doctor looked puzzled, but distracted from his speech, he entered it. Of course the rest of the group followed him, none wanting to be left alone with a possible killer among them. As soon as they were inside, the Tardis' door locked and it began to move. Not the smooth movements that usually occured . . . err well sometimes occured, no, it was a jarring and bumpy ride as if time and space were having some sort of trouble interacting with it. When it stopped at last, the Doctor was surprised to discover they were on the Starship UK. Not a fake one like Leadworth either, this was the real one.

"It seems we're on the Starship UK now, we'll rest of the night and explore tomorrow. I advise everyone to be careful as we still haven't caught the killer. Until tomorrow then."

Night 2 ends at 7pm Est tomorrow. Day 3 starts at 8pm Est.

Just me or was there a vote miscount?

Doctor Who Mafia Game Thread: Day 9 - MetaSeraphim - 2011-05-26

octopusprime Wrote:Just me or was there a vote miscount?

Mafia games normally have a mayor characters and there special power is a double vote.

yes i gathered that at a later time.

MetaSeraphim Wrote:Mafia games normally have a mayor characters and there special power is a double vote.

So wrong.
>normally
try sometimes.
>double vote
no. Mayors can prevent a lynch.

Doctor Who Mafia Game Thread: Day 9 - MetaSeraphim - 2011-05-26

Mute Wrote:So wrong.

Way to be massively wrong. Most if not all mafia games have a mayor role that almost always has the power of doublevote.

Mute Wrote:>double vote
no. Mayors can prevent a lynch.

That is a Governor. Doublevoting roles normally belong to mayor like roles unless they feel like giving it to another power role which is rare.

>Using the MafiaScumWiki as a valid means of information.

Haahahahaha, oh wow!

Doctor Who Mafia Game Thread: Day 9 - Holypie - 2011-05-26

Sorry about it being late but I'll post a basic day update and when ElectricSix comes back he can add flavour. Basically today is a kingmaker day and you vote for a person who can have a final say on who to lynch for the day. Also octopusprime died.

Quote:Dear octopusprime:
You are Doctor Nasreen Chaudry, the person in charge of a large scale drilling operation in the Welsh town of Cwmtaff. Other than operating a giant drill you don’t do much though. You win if all threats to the town are eliminated.

Day will end tomorrow at 7 but I can't be here so ElectricSix will have to handle that. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I guess I should post...right?

Any particular reason for this vote, or do you just want to know that I am here?

One piece of interesting new, TheBirds didn't use his night action.
