Patch v.58 Speculation - Ashley - 2008-07-03

I don't think they'll add Pirates without testing it in Tespia first, so I'm going to say, we're probably going to be getting an NLC expansion, or maybe some new bosses? Iunno.

I don't really know why they wouldn't, they have yet to fix a single glitch in between tespia and the real servers. Also I suppose testing a new custom gMS area would be more important to test than pirates, who already exist in other servers.

Patch v.58 Speculation - Simon - 2008-07-03

CS items is practically a given

but its about to be NLC's 1 year anni, so yea, im gonna say its about time they expanded that

as much as i want pirates to come out.. i highly doubt it Sad

other:: summer event part 2 stuff, items? events? fake bosses?

Patch v.58 Speculation - Dagger - 2008-07-03

I'm seriously hoping for pirates.
But I think a Masteria expansion is more likely.

BTW I noticed that the pirate portal was added in the command center.
Not sure if it was always there or not though.

Patch v.58 Speculation - Shippo the Fox - 2008-07-03

I want my damn Pirates pl0x. If not, I want my Area Bosses so everyone can get the hell out of Snowman.

Patch v.58 Speculation - Koriz - 2008-07-03

Crimsonhood keep. It's already 90% confirmed by that contest dude.

Patch v.58 Speculation - Airrat - 2008-07-03

I think we'll just get more NX stuff and some fixes to the bugs that we currently have. Or is that what I'm wishing for?

Patch v.58 Speculation - Moti - 2008-07-03

Okay... My speculations.

75% Masteria.
20% Pirates.
5% Magatia.

And the obvious: Cash Shop, UI, login screen, etc.

Patch v.58 Speculation - IsaacGS - 2008-07-04

Berzerk Wrote:The thing is, we're most likely getting a huge NLC update next patch. If we look at what we got last patch, it was a HUGE one. Then to be getting something Masteria Related next would also be huge. So, if July's Patch is going to be Masteria, and some of us think we're getting Pirates at a Landmark such as Ver. .60, or before. That leaves:

.58 August - Pirates/Filler Patch/Magatia(Sp?)
.59 September - Pirates
.60 October - Recycled Event/Pirates

The thing I see wrong with is is they're releasing a TON of stuff, all in a 4 month time frame (A lot of UI updates, Masteria and Pirates). I mean, maybe that's the direction they're going in now, because they have been stepping up to the plate. I mean, it all seems completely plausible.

Then there's the fact that we have 2 more months of updates left, November and December. Both major holiday months, so we could just get crappy recycled events. And maybe even something like Coka Cola Land for December?

It just seems like a lot of content could be getting released, soon.

This is silly reasoning to me. Almost every content patch this year has been a major addition. The only month that really suffered was February, and given how massive the January patch was it's understandable.. I mean, Leafre/4th job, Horntail/Monster Carnival, Showa, and now Ariant... Granted there's not that much left that's an option right now (Magatia, Masteria, or Pirates are the only realistic choices. Everything else has pre-reqs) Nexon America's style leads me to believe that they'll merge the existing Area Boss "batches" into at most 2 groups, rather than 4. Maybe even just patch them all in at once.

Monster Book is the main UI update we're missing, and my thinking on this is that they are waiting for their upcoming Masteria update to implement it. That way, they can sift out unreleased monsters (Magatia, Bot-catching, Area Bosses) and write up new book additions for NLC, Amoria, and Mansion monsters, as well as Crimsonwood monsters or whatever our new expansion turns out to be. There's no way that the lore-loving designers at Nexon will miss out on writing up monster book passages for their own creations.

tl;dr, I vote Masteria expansion and Monster Book.

Patch v.58 Speculation - rattown - 2008-07-04

masteria expansion via the thread that was deleted via nexon request....is almost a certainty.
the jump down feature and the monster book have been in kms long enough for us to have them.

... shoots for the sky ... time temple in january 09 Big Grin.

there really isnt much left ... and then again there isnt much left of the summer xD. october-december are downers every single year with the exception to last years haunted mansion which will more than probably be recycled this year. so unless we dont get pirates during this summer i doubt we will see them till january ... remember everyone expected leafre last summer and we waited till january. the rest of summer , aka second part of summer aka better updates than ariant and showa and insane amounts of ui updates will inevitably see many shiny major things. we have july august and september.... enough months for 3 major releases followed by the inevitable slew that is holiday patches....

margatia pirates and nlc expansion would be the best guess to what 3 major updates we would get along with ui updates with any of them.

but as for patch 0.58 .... nlc expansion is almost a certainty.

Isaac, I guess it's really just a matter of opinion when it comes to "major" patches. The way I'm looking at things is, Horntail, Monster Carnival, Showa and Ariant aren't much of major things. For one, there's only a small majority of people who can Horntail. Monster Carnival is only level 30-50, granted it's fun but for the lower levels. Showa, Lol. Waaaaay overhyped. I really don't see anything major about that town. And Ariant just seems like a good place for like, level 30's to train. The quests were fun, but that's it. I wouldn't consider Area Bosses a major update, because they're not... It's just like adding more monsters.

My opinon of major updates are Leafre/4th Job, our UI Updates and Masteria stuff. Why? Because with Leafre, we got 4th job. That's a huge element of this game. The last patch that bought the slew of UI updates, I use the stuff added in the Patch almost every time I log on. NPC chat, Item Arrangement, Windowed Mode, Macros. I used it all. It makes the game a lot more user friendly. Now, Masteria, the reason I'd think this is a major update over all the other towns is because it's something we can call our own. It's gMS created content, and very good content at that. Something we all can get excited over, because it's new and a surprise. We haven't seen Previews of it in jMS or kMS.

Isaac, I'm not saying you're wrong on any of your points. But it really just comes down to a matter of opinion. And don't get me wrong, I always love reading what you have to say. It's all very interesting.

Patch v.58 Speculation - Retalion - 2008-07-04

With monthly tespias now (least that's what it's looking like), its indirectly meaning we're getting new stuff every month. Im just curious how long they can keep it up.

Btw, has anyone thought that we might not get all of Crimsonwood keep in one go and that it'll come out in segments of 3-4 maps every month or something? (I personally wouldnt want to see that but... yeah >_>)

Masteria would be AMAZING.
But, I think a boss update is coming, personally.

Patch v.58 Speculation - GW2000 - 2008-07-04

I'm thinking Masteria because of the leaked info that was posted on Sleepy some while ago and also that it's soon to be Masteria's first anniversary.

Patch v.58 Speculation - VictorGS - 2008-07-04

I think the Monster Book UI Update it's where .58 goes. Actually, we have the Hotkey. Maybe an Masteria Update, most likely Crimsonwood Keep will come out.
But, if the Masteria Content gives out a new Town, i think it would be a 4th Round of Tespia. We gotta test it, so no Bugs/Glitches. That's all i think.

Patch v.58 Speculation - Mark - 2008-07-04

I totally forgot about the Monster book thing.

I'd love to see that too.

Patch v.58 Speculation - Conciente - 2008-07-04

I want them to release Magatia(and its world map) before continuing with Masteria expansions. Maybe fix the remaining bugs from V.56.

Patch v.58 Speculation - ยป-Chris-> - 2008-07-04

*Hmm I'd have to guess the expansion in Magatia, new cash shop items, and the first set of area bosses*

Patch v.58 Speculation - Jirai - 2008-07-04

What I don't understand is why people don't think certain things will be tested?
I mean, sure, MTS and Multi-pet/Level 200 stuff weren't actually tested but those weren't big enough for their own test server (and the 2nd part there was SUPPOSED to be tested if Nexon had thought things through)

Soo...
Pirates? Gonna have a test server for that.
Masteria? Yup
Magatia? Yup
Any new area in general? Yup

Lets hope they actually check the bug reports this time.
