-Gunslinger Girl has 26 eps with the second season included. It's called Gunslinger Girl II: Teatrino, but the only thing changed is the artwork; The characters and plot remain.
-Please change Destiny of the Shrine Maiden back to Kannazuki no Miko. The name was translated when it was dubbed, but Kannazuki no Miko is the most common name.

This. Princess Mononoke left me in tears after I watched it. I don't cry often. Especially for movies...

-FLCL: Don't get me wrong- I didn't hate this series, but didn't exactly like it that much either. But it was certainly one watch I could have done without. This is commonly recommended as a "must-watch classic" for most people who are getting into anime or want to watch a lot of anime. Frankly, it's overrated. I actually found this even boring at a few times, and wasn't holding my interest nor was it anything exciting. Is "classic" and "symbolic story about growing up" really the only reason people recommend it? The thing that stands out most in this series is the whacky, over-the-top, and random humor; but that really didn't get to me. I just didn't happen to find it that funny. What I did like about FLCL was the more quiet, subtle moments where the symbolism about growing up was more obvious, the music by the Pillows, and the neat directing styles that would be later used in Gurren Lagann and other stuff. Sure, the symbolism was cleverly placed and I thought that part of FLCL was nice- but was what I watched on the screen actually worth it? Eh- not really.

Done. Also added 'Lexy's missed post from previous page. Was wondering what you were talking about. The list will be up for 2 more weeks; I saved a copy for future reference.

Love Hina manga, iirc was pretty good. It was a very satisfying read. However, I read it about 5 or 6 years ago so I might have a different opinion of it now due to its heavy dependance on harem, he-fell-and-his-face-landed-on-her-boobs-LOL type of comedy.

Yeah, I've seen part of it. I picked it up after I read the manga, but dropped it like four or five episodes in. I would rate it poorly, since there's too much blatant fan service for my taste.

Anime Recommendation Thread - Piggy 2.0 - 2010-06-06

I recommend Moribtio: Guardian of the spirit. Even though I didn't see the ending of it, the episodes I watched were very good. There is some fantasy, but it doesn't show itself prominently until midway through the series.

The anime I've seen are few, so this might not sound good coming from me. derp.
