Aran Training Places - Asumi - 2009-12-22 Combat step is the key to cycle the map it just need a little bit practice. Aran Training Places - bio9205 - 2009-12-22 Thank goodness I found this thread - I was kinda stumped at where to train right now. Was training at Truckers, but it seemed quite slow over there, though it's quite a popular training spot. Heading to FoG right now. Aran Training Places - Shoob - 2009-12-22 Hazzy Wrote:I think I get what you're saying, but they spawn too fast to completely clear each platform. D: Seriously, don't worry about having a specific path that much when you're training there, just go for whatever platform that has at least 3-4 Jesters on it. If it's one of the top platforms, wait until the platform before it (as in the order I mentioned in my post) is worth clearing, then clear it. When there aren't any platforms worth clearing at the moment, just clear the bottom, there's usually 3-4 Jesters there at any given time. And about the Jesters spawning too fast, one Jester won't really interfere with you moving around the map, and even if you do get knocked to the bottom, chances are a decent mob has built up there and then try again. Aran Training Places - Chocobo - 2009-12-23 Just wondering about this but would voodoos and hoodoos be decent exp for a level 61? Cause i dont really want to find a map at MP3 (Twisted Jesters I cant hit yet. I know i have horrible accuracy. @_@) Aran Training Places - Jon - 2009-12-23 Chocobo Wrote:Just wondering about this but would voodoos and hoodoos be decent exp for a level 61? Cause i dont really want to find a map at MP3 (Twisted Jesters I cant hit yet. I know i have horrible accuracy. @_@) They probably wouldn't be the best, but you could try them out. You can only do the Voodoo map though: there are Jesters in the Hoodoo map. Aran Training Places - Chocobo - 2009-12-23 Oh, thanks for informing me on that one. I think ill go try voodoos tomarrow then. Aran Training Places - Pikachu - 2009-12-23 Hazzy Wrote:Jesters take advantage of Smash. When I smash in Malaysia or MP3, I hit 8k+. Over half of that tends to be overkill. Happens a lot less when the mobs have 50k HP and epic spawn. Body pressure + Rush works wonders. I usually gather them in the middle of the plat, then jump down and double platform combo smash. In reality you only need to kill 3-4 of them, then go back to mobbing on the bottom. Hazzy Wrote:I think I get what you're saying, but they spawn too fast to completely clear each platform. D: Force yourself to not kill all of them. If you killed the general mob, you can leave. Also, jump and combo smash in the direction you're aiming for. Almost always it's double platform hit (as in both middle and bottom, middle/top). I'll show a training video when I get back from Taiwan <_> Aran Training Places - Kalovale - 2009-12-23 Can I get an opinion regarding Kentaurus? What's so great about them? I can understand Red Kents with maxed Snow Charge, but by the time we have maxed Crit + Full Swing + Snow Charge, we'll be at least lvl 90, by which time Kent's EXP won't be all that good anymore, will it? Aran Training Places - Sn1perJohnE - 2009-12-23 This is my normal rotation for Jesters: Start at the bottom, mob either left or right from where starting and mob+Combo Smash to death. If done towards the entrance, remob back towards the left and mob and Combo Smash to death again. Hop onto the left most platform and kill, using rush to stay on the platform (rushing to middlie when near edge). After the mob is killed, use Combat Step to reach the middle platform. Kill the middle platform as usually, once the mobs are cleared, use normal attack to aggro the top right platform towards the right. Jump onto the right platform and onto the first pipe, you are safe to kill the top right platform from here. After clearing that mob, jump onto the platform, move right and use Combat Step on the edge. Youll land on the on the pipe just under the top left platform, jumping up puts you on the platform. Kill the mob and repeat the steps. Aran Training Places - Kalovale - 2009-12-23 Sn1perJohnE Wrote:After clearing that mob, jump onto the platform, move Took me some time to notice those exploitables you explained, but yeah, good description. I can add a few minor notes: - Your attacks land totally on the mobs on the top right platform, even 2nd swings (or pokes at this point.) - When clearing the middle platform, it's best that you jump up and whack some of the top right mobs to aggro them and have them come to you when you're >>> Aran Training Places - Sn1perJohnE - 2009-12-23 Haha, just noticed that i put right there ![]() As for the top right platform. Theres 2 pipes you needa jump onto to actually get onto the platform. Jumping onto the first pipe and attacking is 100% safe while attacking. On the "preplatform" your 1st and 3rd hits will land. Also, using combo smash on the pipe will hit any mobs that may have been left on the middle platform. Aran Training Places - Pikachu - 2009-12-23 Pikachu's rotation of Jesters: 1) Upon entering the map, there should be a significant spawn on the bottom [8-12 Jesters]. Mob them to either side, and lure towards the middle. Activate drain [as you use no HP pots afterwards] then proceed to smash away (you'll easily build up combos). When I say mob towards the middle is because you can smash in midair. Smashing in midair results in hitting both the middle AND the bottom platforms. You'll greatly weaken, even maybe kill the middle platform by the time you're done with the bottom. 2)[20+ Jump] Finish off the middle platform. Jump smash if you can (it hits both the top and middle platform). When you're done with the middle platform mob, jump on the pole on the left upper platform. It's towards the middle of the top in general. You'll be able to jump on that with 20+ jump. Final charge or Rush (Forgot what it was called) and kill the top mobs. Try and kill from a distance [Middle of the platform]. If some jesters spawn, ignore it and combat step <- from the top left platform. 2) (no 20+ jump) Kill the middle platform, go -> away and jump on the poles. Try to rush the jesters in the general middle direction and attempt to kill for a distance, so you don't fall. Combat step on the top left platform <- way. 3) You should be on the very left upper platform with 4-6 jesters. Kill that mob like how you did bottom [except it's just that single platform]. 4) Go down and repeat the mobbing process. I'll make a training video there when I get back from Taiwan ;-;. edit: I've been training at this place with +22 jump and +36 speed, so that might be something to mention. Aran Training Places - Shady - 2009-12-23 I think you should include low avoid mobs, since not everyone has 17x accuracy at low levels. Aran Training Places - ScherzoDeLuce - 2009-12-23 there's another great place for 4x ~ 7x to train, but for now it's only available in MSEA. the map is in Thailand. It's called "Deep Jungle". ![]() Phyton Lvl : 60 HP : 6,000 Exp : 230 As you can see, the Hp/Exp ratio is comparable to Ghost Ship's monster, but the map is much easier to navigate compare to MP3 & Ghost Ship. Another great thing is that this place is deserted since people still train at Mp3. It's a good option if you want escape the crowd (and morons) at Mp3 but still wish to get great exp. This is how the map looks like, and the right way to train there. ![]() EDIT : don't underestimate the power of free time. yes, i was bored, so i made that. Aran Training Places - Japanadian - 2009-12-23 Just wondering which nets more exp: kents or wolf spiders? Im level 70 but I've been WSing but if kents are better I'll head there. Accuracy is not a problem. Aran Training Places - Shoob - 2009-12-23 Can somebody give an explanation of how to do Wolf Spiders correctly? As of now I'm alternating between each side of "legs" then mobbing up all of the Spiders into the pit, but it doesn't seem like the most efficient way and it burn a ton of pots. Or, you could cycle through the channels and kill all the pits, KSing other players there, but that's frowned upon. Aran Training Places - Jedward - 2009-12-23 Guys, is Jesters better than WR for training? I'm currently 66, and I want to get 70 today at the very least. I'll be on 4x for the event (plus some 2x buffs after) so I'd like to make use of it as best I can. Keep in mind this is Demethos, so not many people may be here. (Actually, WR is filled with KS drama here too, so...) Aran Training Places - Jon - 2009-12-23 Infection Wrote:Guys, is Jesters better than WR for training? If WRs are full, then I would go with Jesters. But I think if you CAN do WR, then go to WR. Aran Training Places - Link - 2009-12-23 For 90 ~ 100, Elder Wraiths are AMAZING! I don't know if GMS has a map like the JMS one, but the one in JMS is a pretty small map with a fair spawn of Elder Wraiths and with Body Pressure, almost NEVER get hit and the experience is crazy. |
