Rappelz Epic VII orgy!

What are you playing? - xBTAx - 2010-01-17

Currently playing SMT: Devil Survivor on DS. Playing through BlazBlue on PS3 but only occasionally; it's on our widescreen and I don't get to use it often.

Having major TP cravings as well... I never finished Wind Waker, and never finished replaying it either, so...

Anyway, just finished 385/2 Days, so I might replay KH and KH2, and finally finish RE:CoM... I'm really starting to wish that the Final Mixes came out here. Rolleyes

Takebacker Wrote:What the f'uck? I just beat wind waker like 4 days ago and TP ~3 weeks before that. Zelda cravings all around. *-*

I swear I'm not an Asian wannabe or anything, but on top of the usual Zelda cravings (Majora's Mask and Link's Awakening per my preference), I often get cravings to go back and play Okami and Mystical Ninja: Staring Goemon (N64). I guess they just held a place with me along my gaming history.

BombsAway Wrote:Well my gamecube growing up was actually my dad's and because he plays video games too, he kept it when I moved out. So I haven't had one for a couple of years but I had the games. But yeah, I usually replay series games after/before playing a new one. Every time a new suikoden game is released I will spend a month playing the old ones in order (by number, not date. So I don't go 4, 5, 1, 2, 3, haha)

Stop making me regret handing over that copy of Suikoden 2 I bought for a friend and overall crave the series Frown. The only thing from the series I managed to play was some untranslated pirated disk for the PC that same friend gave me years ago that was some sort of 2D platformer mini-game that was very comparable to MS. Curse you rare and expensive low production gems Hothead.

Piggy 2.0 Wrote:Pc: Cave Story.

This game is AMAZING. It's been out for 6 Pineappleing years and I've only heard of it NOW!? I'm more of a recluse than I thought ._."

I swear they had announced a Wii version for Q4 '09, and I had been waiting for that in order to play the game. Cancelled?

As for what I'm playing now;
PC: MS (Rarely), Universe at War (Bought it on sale... but god is it buggy... I just want to finish Campaign and delete)
Wii: Shining Force I & II, Dokapon Kingdom (Just want to finish one game of it prior to having friends over... but I'm about 3/4ths of the way into one... after 56 hours Tongue)

As for my PS2, I just wrapped up Dark Cloud 2's bonus dungeon and finished Disgaea 2's main story, so I'm looking into my collection for where to go next. I was thinking of going back to Valkyrie Profile and finishing a normal ending run since I screwed up apparently for the best ending already, but that fact is holding me back a little. There was that, or Okage, or Shining Tears, or Metal Saga just to pick out something new from my collection. Not sure. Granted I still need to finish the Xenosaga series... and FF 1-8... and... Hurt

Sometimes being a collector over a gamer has it's issues.

DS: Spirit Tracks. Also preparing to dig out Apollo Justice because I hear the next installment is going to come out in America soon, and I feel that I should at least try to keep up, damnit.

PSP: Persona 1 - I picked this up at Singapore's airport on a whim. I was expecting some old school jrpg, so it was a bit weird to find myself dungeon crawling around schools and hospitals. Also reminds me of Wolfenstein 3D, which is worrying because I can get motion sickness even from that sort of primitive 1st person perspective.

PC: Curse of Monkey Island - loving it so far, even though I suck at pure adventure games.
...and there's always Maplestory, I guess.

What are you playing? - Doctor Omega - 2010-01-19

Right in the middle of Super Mario Galaxy, New Super Mario Bros. Wii, and the Metroid Prime Trilogy. Super Mario Galaxy seems to be taking more of my time though, seeing as it's quite possibly the longest of the three.

DS: Spirit Tracks. Does anyone know you can rent DS games from blockbuster now? This blew my mind.

Ps3: Disgaea 3

PC: Cave Story, Maple.

Wii: Super mario bros Wii, Twilight princess.

PSP: Picked up dissidia again in attemt to beat IC.

Oooh, how's Persona? I got it for Christmas but I haven't played yet, since I wanted to beat Devil Survivor first.

And yeah, AA Investigations comes out in February.

Also, @John - Cave Story's just been delayed for like, forever.

Eh, I haven't played any of the Persona games before, so I don't really know how it compares to the others. It's kinda nice...though I don't really care for the new cutscenes, and the random encounter rate is high enough to be annoying at times.

Im currently playing Sands of destruction and big bang mini, both on the DS

Radiata Stories huh? Man, that's a name I haven't seen in ages. Saw a friend playing it at his house one day; thought it looked pretty decent, but since I don't own a PS2 or something that can play PS2 games, it pretty much slipped through my memory until a few weeks ago. How is it, man?

And also: you're not alone. As a kid, I got a copy of Wind Waker and the Legend of Zelda Collector's disc, and thought that I had to play through every Zelda in order from the beginning because I had thought there was one big plotline between the games that needed me to play through them in order. I tried the first one and was absolutely baffled for where to go on the Overworld, and never touched it since. Although I did play Twilight Princess later on in my life, I have yet to play through the originals, the excellent two ones for the N64, and Wind Waker. I'm even weirder considering that all of the five aforementioned games (the four on the Collector's disc and Wind Waker) are all quality games; and yet I've never bothered to touch them. I keep promising myself to try to play them someday.

Meanwhile...

Currently finishing up Mass Effect, and about to get to playing Mass Effect 2. I'm also working on Tales of Vesperia. I've pretty much taken a hiatus from almost all of my other games just for these three aforementioned games. I wanna stick to a few video games without getting into others for now; it just feels weird spreading it all out.

Playing through the Resident Evil games again. It's been a good 10 or so years since I last played them (1-3 that is) so it's like playing them for the first time again.

Also, some of the parts still shock me a little even in my old age. lol

I've only played a little bit of it so far. From the little that I have played, I thought it was ok. Been spending most of my time playing Paper Mario and I'm probably close to finishing it pretty soon. What I've been trying to do is alternate between playing some RPGs and playing some platformers. After I finish Paper Mario I probably won't be playing more of Radiata Stories until I get one of the platformers completed. I'll probably work more on Psychonauts next.

Overall, I'm pretty bad at completing games. It's not because I don't like them or anything, it's just that I have so many games and I tend to set one down and forget about it for a while and then it's hard to get back into it later on. I've been trying to stay focused on a smaller amount of games, hopefully I'll be able to break my habit and complete more of my games.

Radiata Stories is boring as hell you're going to enjoy smashing your face off the wall once you get into the serious recruiting stages. I don't know whether or not you're down with using FAQS but please, do us both a favour and use one. You'll never hate yourself more if you don't, trust me.

Also you have really good taste in games I think. Paper Mario and Suikoden make you a real man.

How are you liking Muramasa, Herbert? Mark showed it to me a couple of months ago, and it seems like one of the few promising games that the Wii's got. I'll probably pick it up once it drops down to $20.

I played Modern Warfare 2 for the first time in about a month and a half, and it felt alright I guess. I was able to speak with a good friend of mine over Xbox Live, which was great since I haven't been able to speak with him for a while now. I've been playing Forza 3 a ton lately, too. It's starting to get HAAARDCORE.

Bioshock 2 in four days. :3

What are you playing? - Lozmaster - 2010-02-06

^ Hardly, muramasa isn't that great a game, it looks very nice, but outside of boss battles, there isn't much to it, the normal fights, theres like...15 maybe 20 different enemies tops to fight that I can remeber, and some of them were recolours...and all required the exact same strategy (that being get close and beat the pomegranate out of them while they fail to do any damage to you at all...) The game isn't exactly bad but I won't be likely to play it much again, and its all far too similar.

Working through a stack of games I got at christmas and from the steam sale, lol, partway through most of them, finished off most of what I enjoyed from the steam sale, and admittedly left quite a few of them because I didn't enjoy them. Definatly going to be more picky with games i buy next time steam has a big sale though...

DS: chrono trigger

PC: bioshock (Reminding me why I stoppped playing fps games, its a good game, however, I just hate using a mouse and keyboard setup for games, and 360 controller seems so sluggish and just plain bad compared to wiimote aiming... yeah I went there)

wii: tatsunoko vs capcom (prefer this a lot over streetfighter 4)
tales of symphonia 2
wario land the shake dimension.

Hey all, pro question here.

I want to replay Chrono Cross, but I found out recently (lol) that there is a sequel to Chrono Trigger. Radical Dreamers for the SNES Satellaview. Surprisingly, this game plays a lot like a visual novel more than an RPG. Have any of you played it? Is it worth my time?

Actually, I was thinking about not using a FAQ at all. I want to treat it like the old days. Back when I played through Suikoden 1 & 2 I didn't use a FAQ and I don't think I'll even worry too much about recruiting the first time through anyway. Using FAQs like I did with the later Suikoden games seemed to ruin some of the experience for me.

It's button mashan and I think it's fun so far. When I first started I thought the story was confusing (I started out with Momohime first).

Do you even see Muramasa in stores that often anymore? I looked around like a week ago and only saw it at two places and one of them had it for $50. Although to be fair, I haven't checked at GameStop. I haven't stepped in there since Disc Replay opened up. :3

Most of the plot of Radical Dreamers is re-imagined and put into Chrono Cross. If you really want to play it, then try it out. You could always read a story summary of it if you don't want to play through it all.

It's nothing like Suikoden, trust me. You won't ruin anything by using a recruiting guide. I wouldn't ever recommend using a guide to recruit in Suikoden because it's actually fun to hunt for the stars, but Radiata Stories is just frustrating as pomegranate. It's got a stupid clock system where you have to catch people at [x] time of day in [y] place or else you have to wait until the next day and there's no way to speed up time. Trying to figure out who is where and when isn't worth the 600+ hours you'll end up putting into it if you don't use a guide. Not to mention that you can't get everyone in a single play through, and you're not going to want to play it more than twice (especially if you don't use a guide the first time.) There are two endings but seriously, the recruiting stages are a massive progress deterrent and just something no one should ever have to deal with.
