Maker - Alchemy Skill FAQ and Walkthrough - ItzTaylor - 2008-08-08

It probably wouldn't have that big of effect on people's equips... I wouldn't say "screwed". o.O

I think the whole purpose of this anyways was to give the economy deflation and actually give ores and important role in maplestory, besides upgrading your lower level gear, which no one does.

Maker - Alchemy Skill FAQ and Walkthrough - Cyanne - 2008-08-10

Is there a complete list of forgeable items and forging combinations available?

It would also give a point to the Claw Stimulators, etc.
(really, who forges items with them currently? yet i still got one while on Subani's Legacy.)

This is also true to stimulators in general. No one currently does forge items anymore. I think the primary reasons are: All the items that can be made currently (Non-iTCG) are dropped by monsters now; the items to make them just aren't worth it in the end; and the game has been reworked so that people can level up to 60+ in no time so there is no use going through a hassle to get the lower level equips that will be replaced almost immediately (EDITSmile; oh and I almost forgot, common class items.

Though I remember way back when I made every glove and shoe for my class to wear and even ended up making a rower since they did not drop at the time. It was worth it back then, but these days it's just not. Ores used to be around 600-1400 mesos each and now look at them... No one will be bothered to pay several hundred k for an item they will eventually have to NPC (because there is no market for low lvl items) for far less.

I actually hope they make the side ingredients interesting. People might complain, but we used to put up with a lot worse for a lesser gain; I believe those people who can't tolerate the sort of 'quest' it takes to gain the new items being made available for this should not end up getting them. But what am I saying, everything in game has been turned into a market so I'm just finding something I can think of as an accomplishment of my own. Others will just be able to buy it in the end.

:f6: I went off topic just now, didn't I?

wait, can you upgrade weapons with jewels? like if you made a weapon, can you add a jewel on?

...Yeah. That's kind the whole point of the skill. XD

You can add them while you're forging it, once it's made it's just like a normal weapon with slightly different stats.

after its made?

After it's made, no.

Only while forging it. You can't "jewel" the weapons you currently have.

Hey, thanks for the guide... Very useful.

Maker - Alchemy Skill FAQ and Walkthrough - Worthyness - 2008-08-12

I'm still confused as to what the Stimulators do... Do they make the chance of getting higher stats higher?

And as for a clarification, I could Hypothetically make a White Nisrock with +3 speed on it by way of this forging? Or an overall with +5 accuracy? both would be clean and have all the slots on them still (i.e. 7 slots for Nisrock and 10 slots for overall).

Thanks in advance =)

Nice guide too =P

Maker - Alchemy Skill FAQ and Walkthrough - ElenaOfTheTurks - 2008-08-14

I dont want new things for equips.. I want more monsters to fightTongue

Maker - Alchemy Skill FAQ and Walkthrough - Chameleonic - 2008-08-19

If you have the highest level skill, does that mean you can forge a low level equip, say a lv 40 Dark Piette top and use the 3 slots to add extra stats to them or can you only use the 1 slot on low level equips? I hope thats clear enough. lol

Maker - Alchemy Skill FAQ and Walkthrough - blitzkrieg - 2008-08-19

Nope, you can only use the extra slots on the new equips you unlock when you get the next level of the Maker skill.

Maker - Alchemy Skill FAQ and Walkthrough - Chameleonic - 2008-08-19

That sucks if a level 3 can only do lv 50-120 equips. There are no top/bottom above lv 40. I wanted to make clean top/bottoms with 10 extra stats.Rolleyes

Maker - Alchemy Skill FAQ and Walkthrough - VladTheLvr - 2008-08-19

I can see that this helps 2 classes by ALOT

Dexless warriors (set with maker skill forged armor)

Zakum helm 15 str 15 dex 20 acc (Scrolled for 21 dex)

Green Neos 2 str 6 dex 2 acc (5 Dex 5 str 5 acc) (Scrolled for +10 Str)

Green Neos Pants 3 dex 3 acc (5 Dex 5 str 5 acc) (scrolled for +18 dex and +18 speed )

Green Crescent Boots 2 str 4 dex (5 Dex 5 str 5 acc) (Scrolled for +20 Jump +12 dex)

Dark Korben 5 str 2 dex (5 Dex 5 str 5 acc) (Scrolled for 8 att)

Yellow Adventurer cape (scrolled for 16 dex)

TOTAL 117 DEX PURE EQUIPS (NOT COUNTING ACC)

I know this is pretty much semi godly armor but it also lets you have completely a dexless stone tooth wielder.

I will do the bandit later, but this goes to show that the warrior will no longer miss things if it chooses to go dexless. Seriously.

Truly amazing. I can just see all of the possibilities and wow. Unbelieveable.

Too bad beginners can't get it, but oh well. I'm almost tempted to start JQing my heart out for refined ore stocking, but since it looks like we won't get this until after the Temple, I think I'll wait.

One downside for me. I'm going to have to reset a lot of my Crusader's DEX. XD

This actually came out in about early May for KMS, so it was well before the temple. When it was first released in official KMS 120 equips weren't forgeable.
