We could always apply levels of "rl profit" to online actions, but that would be such an ironic waste of time that it would merit a big LOL.

And please, I'm sure a strong argument can be made for the usefulness of aspects in MapleStory in real life. Here's an idea for ya: Usefulness and worthlessness are just mentalities; either can be applied to anything depending on how you want it to affect your life. If you want MapleStory to be worthless, then don't play it and argue it's negative aspects; the opposite is such for claiming the game's usefulness.

Nothing wrong will come from jacking off to anime monster girls, and that's coming from someone who doesn't. It's a break from reality (i.e. real girls); very similar to what MMO's offer. While you may see it as a waste of time, some would say the same of MMO's. I believe that to be what Devil's Sunrise was pointing out.

i dont pursue 200 passionately, i do physical activities, talk to people in my classes and have a job. i wouldn't choose getting to 200 over hanging out with people.
