Well I just played a game as Ashe for the first time . . . against real people anyway . . . and I ended up 20/1/6. It was a bit ridiculous how often they'd just charge into me. Of course it helped drastically having Sona around, but still, I sniped Yi and Renketon like crazy. Then Sivir or Tristana would try to drop me, and I'd get a double kill off them. Lux was about the only one I killed maybe once or twice because she was at least smart enough to stay back most of the time. Also, I fail at randomly arrowing hoping to kill someone. The only successful arrows I had were pretty close to the enemy. XP Still, I had a good deal of fun, and even if my team was about average, I was able to do more than I would have with Master Yi or maybe even Nasus. I don't think I want to main Ashe, but she can be fun to use. I doubt I'll play her too often, but it's nice to know that I have a ranged character I'm at least a little comfortable with now.

He's a great tank, you just have to really watch his energy. He takes practice, definitely.

Just curious, what does his energy do?

And can I play him like a Rammus, minus the Powerball-style initiation?

Energy is a different resource system. You only get 200, but it rapidly regenerates.

His skills require Energy to use right?

If you only get 200....now I see why Taunt cannot be abused so much due to its high cost, lol.

Generally speaking, energy champs are easier to manage in terms of resources since they regenerate so fast. Shen being the most difficult since you burn through your energy bar very quickly, but overall he's pretty easy to play. You need to pay a lot of attention to the map, though, to know when and where you need to ult.

Ah, gotcha. So if I was not doing anything and I have ult ready, I just pretty much watch over my teammates and give them a helping hand if they have trouble? (But exception is being outnumbered in an enemy gank, like 3v1/4v1?)

Yes, you can also use it to help gank. If an enemy is owning one of your teammates you can ult to them and turn the tide for an easy kill.

I also like to use it on someone that wants to turret dive. The damage shield is useful and lets squishies dive for a brief amount of time/ tower hits.

Oh wow that's a pretty nice use of the Stand United skill. Didn't realize that. xD

The upshot of being Shen is that you need to have your eyes glued on your allies's HP or the minimap at all times, or people might yell at you. I already get this issue with Soraka, although sometimes it's because I didn't think they could be saved anyways.

Just curious, for those who played Shen, how do you build your skills? A lot of the Shen guides I see focuses on both Vorpal Blade and Shadow Dash (Taunt), and leaving Feint at level 1 until Vorpal Blade and Shadow Dash are maxed. Is this how you do it?

Original League of Legends (LoL) Thread - Phoenix Wright - 2011-02-01

With Shen, you also have to judge when your teammate is save-able or not. If he's alone and there's 3 guys all over him you're probably just going to give them another kill if you ult that teammate.

Yes this is right. While feint is good at blocking damage, the support and mininuke on vorpal is too good for team fights, and by the time you max out vorpal and taunt, team fights should be starting to be common.

How does Vorpal Blade work? All I know is that its an ranged skill in spite of the fact that Shen is a tank (and logically, should be doing a lot of melee work)Rolleyes

Hit someone with it, does damage.

Additionally, hitting that guy with an auto-attack will give you a small health regeneration buff.

Karma looks good. I like characters that can fill a different role depending on the situation. (Graggy <3)

UGH IM SO FUCKING ANNOYED AT THIS GAME RIGHT NOW!! ARGGGGGGGGHGHGGGGGGGGGGGGGG.
Just lost a game playing olaf, had a zil, kass, ryze and anivia on my team as well. Not the best team comp but it should be ok. I was jungling, other team(poopy, trynd, kog, lux, and singed) no jungler, did well early, got a few kills with ganks and couple other times missed the kill but got them low enough to recall. At one point our team had 3 lvl 11s and 2 10s. Other team had one lvl 10 and then 7/8. We were destroying them. I was pretty well farmed, had lantern, boots, phage and banshees. Pretty freaking tanky with 2300ish health, but no kog and a way underfarmed poopy just completely pomegranate on me and the rest of my team. We end up losing in a 40ish minute game. So dam frustrating. I know I at least think of Olaf as a tanky anti carry dps with huge late game potential. But no, kog just kills me before i can even reach him. ughhhhhh pineapple this game

She certainly looks interesting. Kinda on the fence with her, from the video it looked like Q was like 75% of her damage, it doesnt seem like she will be tanky enough to stick around in team fights while waiting for Q to come off cooldown. Kinda like how Kass blinks in, uses his two moves and blinks away til he can use them again. Guess time will tell how well she works out with an ap build. Support looks a little better at this point, but is she going to offer more than taric/zil/janna?
