Pokémon X and Pokémon Y - Lozmaster - 2013-07-08
I'd say I'm looking forward to the animations, but I'll probably have turned them off within the first few hours of playing.
Pokemon animations take far too long when they make up a good 90% or so of the time spent battling. If only you could speed them up without turning them off compeltely. Shame that's never going to happen in a mainline game barring some sort of add on like the bonus mode in pokemon stadium.

I usually leave them on through my first playthrough, and turn them off if im rushing or on my my like 3rd playthrough. The animations almost look like the show now, maybe we will get those combo moves they use all the time.

There was another rumour batch a couple of weeks ago that I only just noticed.
Quote: New Pokémon "Elvany", Flying/Fairy, "will be revealed soon."
"Tame Park" allows you to deposit up to 3 pokemon for one day, and trade PokéTokens to raise EVs.
Dunsparce, Mawile, Stantler, Sableye will get new evolutions.
Two boys, "Tofune" and "Mika" will challenge the player through out the game; one with long hair, another with spikes and a purple striped shirt; seems to be connected to the plot.
Pangoro does exist, with a punk hairstyle and green fur "gloves". A new ability that Pangoro has will allow the holder to steal items during battle, called "Vandal Heart", is also mentioned.
Skrelp evolves into Weedra, with its type not changing (Poison/Water), and learns the moves 'Belch' and 'Signal Beam'.
Clauncher evolves twice, and into a Water/Electric type, with a new move "Blister Blast", a water type move that is super effective to flying types as well as fire, rock, and ground.
"Kale" is the second gym leader, with blond hair and a "androgyne style". Uses fairy types and the aforementioned Elvany.
Kinda on the same line as some past rumours.
Weedra sounds too similar too Seadra for my liking, but it kinda fits the theme of seaweed.
The dual type attack is interesting. I can kinda see how it works, it's simply a water type move that does extra damage to flying types, rather than it actually being dual typed.
Don't like the idea of an androgynous fairy gym leader either. that's exactly the kind of image I didn't want them portraying with the Fairy type.

ey, there's some really cool androgynous peeps in anime and stuff, not saying the rumors are true but the guy doesn't have to be a flutterwing
