Amount of people playing has no bearing on the necessity for a rollback.
Rule of thumb: If massive amounts of meso have not been generated and you call for a rollback, chances are you're a redneck.
Nexon has the power of a database on their side! Why the f'uck would they rollback when they can put as little effort as they want to "eliminate" duped items and still get profit through MTSing them? It just doesn't make sense, son.

Not that I'm saying that a rollback isnt the best option for the them, just that they won't. Because according to them, duping items is "impossible" and I highly doubt most of the higher up employees even know what channel crashing's real purpose is

This is probably how the crashes will stop.
A) the duper will probably eventually find that he/she has had enough and wants to stop him/herself duping. However he/she cannot resist the thrill of it. He/She releases the method on a h@cking website and it is patched by nexon
B) the duper shares it with a few friends. the friends annoy him/her with excessive duping and/or take too much of the profit or they deflate the goods too much. the friends will probably not be as patient as the creator of the server crash, and will dump the duped goods on the market. Creator of the crash is annoyed and releases hack to preserve the value of his/her own duped goods.
My profile of the server crasher so far.
probably very patient and neat. short and skinny person, probably a male. played maplestory at some point. probably in a course at university doing computer science. Likely at a second tier university - not the top ranked ones but not a crap one.
Person is calm and neat and enjoys good regular sleeping breaks. Therefore probably looks neatly dressed, albeit a bit nerdily in appearance; probably wears glasses. In good health due to regular sleep. Face also probably free of acne due to regular sleep, probably has a small head if a male.
ok you can all go and citizen's arrest this person

Idk, judging by what I know about Takebacker and from what I read in that post, I'm thinking he might have been serious. Nexon does potentially have the power to remove those items... sadly they just suck at life.

I'm totally cereal. Anyway we should all show interst in speculating on who the crasher is. It will give him/her a thrill which he/she will seek more. Eventually he/she would want to correct the rumors or talk to us to revel in his/her fame. Its totally true - just look at the random dramas about serial killers which are on tv.
