I've only read the first page so far, but I'm so excited about the 6 chapters over 2 weeks. Did I mention that my 2 week break starts tomorrow?
Edit: I'm bothered about the Delayed Ripple Effect, and also how the ruins and everything aren't returned to normal. If a dragon destroyed the Eclipse gate, then they would have never came, as shown. But if they never came, then the Eclipse gate wouldn't have been destroyed.
It also looks like the fights between the Dragon Slayers and Dragons were intentionally not focused on, as they were supposed to be unimpressive fights. The story is only just beginning, it seems.

Anyway, FairyTail is always doing this (although this time around they've exceeded any precedent). I wonder if its only to keep the fanbase happy and attract more or FairyTail is actually doing bad in Japan. After all the anime was out on hold.
That ending with Future Lucy would only be satisfiying if that was Heaven, where she meets up with all of her friends that were killed by Acnologia. Otherwise is really ridiculous that not even those already dead can die.

Thee anime is on hold because it would have been dangerously close to overtaking the manga (It was at the start of chapter 300 at the end of episode 175. At 1.7 chapters per episode, that'd put them at nearly chapter 320, and that's being lenient as the actiony chapters normally go faster at 2~3 chapters per episode in the anime). The intention was clearly to go on a break at that point for a long time before it happened, otherwise the "To Be Continued" page makes absolutely no sense in the manga.
That, or they'd have to have done a bleach and fillered in the middle of an arc, which no-one ever appreciates.

I still wonder, how popular is FairyTail in Japan? When the creator of a manga is so generous to his fanbase I consider it should be doing great. Personally It would be on the top of my list if it was a bit more 'realistic', as in, people can actually die and the main characters didn't win it all through sheer willpower and friendship.
That reminds me, if pineappleng Future Lucy didn't die from that, Ultear better live. Unless it helps Gerard and Meredy join FairyTail.

Chapter 339: The best out of the 3 for me. Its sad watching Ultear reaching her end like that but at least she's found peace withing herself. I'm glad some people realized what she did.
Chapter 340: For me the big shocker in this chapter was knowing NATSU STOLE THE pineappleING CROWN LOL. Zeref being like "I've come to the conclusion this world has no hope so I've decided to wipe it up and start it anew" wasn't unexpected. I actually I prefered the argument of the Zeref overwhelmed by his cursed power and looking for a place to die while others keep trying to use him for bad.

Okay okay I'll reword it.
None of the people in the current timeframe died.
My point is Fairy Tail lives up to its reputation of having no deaths. Future Lucy and Future Rogue don't count because the current Lucy and current Rogue will definitely not turn into those, and even if they do they won't die.

Time in FairyTail works in a weird way, but it doesn't seem to use timelines. thats why their actions on the present had a direct impact on the future and changed the outcome of the battle. What I'm trying to say is that since everyone now knows the things that will/could happen in the future, this most likely has already changed and future Rogue is now in a peacefull time 7 years ahead.
Anyway, did Zeref and Mavis hint that a love relationship could have ever existed?

Nah, it can't work like that. Otherwise the existence of two different futures which Future Rogue and Future Lucy came from would have been impossible. The changes in this timeline cannot have affected either of those twos timelines. If the anime ever comes back, it'll probably elaborate (I hope it does).
