Interestingly enough, he goes solo top versus Akali in his SR demo. I don't know what to say about that, especially since Lee Sin ganks her, shutting her down somewhat. Oh, and that Akali is pretty bad.

I think I've found a time and place for my smartcasts. Honestly, smartcasting seems like I have less control and finesse than regular key + mouse click.

First 10 seconds: enemy fountain. No reason not to.
1 minute mark: jungle or a lane.
1:50 mark: jungle or a lane.
Critical jungle times (requires extensive knowledge, of which I do not possess): critical location, such as red buff, or a potential ambush spot by early gankers such as Lee Sin. If you're tryharding, catching the jungler in the act means bonus points to your ego.

If you're plopping CV in the middle of the jungle, try to light up at least two camps.

If there's a raging fight going on, use CV to deny the enemy cover from grass and fog of war!
... or you can just use it to deny cover for someone you're trying to kill or evade.
... or find out a duo laner is actually MIA.

If you think the other team is doing a critical team objective, you can probably check with CV.

Well, so far what I do is CV fountain, then CV blue if there's a jungler (red if it's Gangplank or Lee Sin), and then... I don't know, I either forget to CV or CV somewhere random.

Yeah, my item build on lux was experimental. I already knew that spell vamp items on her weren't ideal, but I wanted to see how well they would work. I had rushed the revolver early so that at least, like morgana, I would have some spell vamp. Hers is of course... much better.... due to tormented soil. But at least this let me more easily counteract the damage she'd deal to me on occasion so that I could stay laning against her much longer.

I got the deathcap because after getting a TON of kills, I found myself at 4.6k gold and the game was about to end. Figured I might as well just grab another cap and rush to end it instead of properly deciding on a 6th item.

About Frozen heart on lux....the defense is nice.... but I'm likely to die anyway once caught, the CDR is useless since with a blue I'm at 40%, and if we have a jungler/someone who always needs blue (anivia), I'll grab a deathfire grasp (lolsy purposes here, not serious) or a morello's evil tome. And my CDR problems are solved.

Having never gotten a SINGLE tank item on lux (save for MAYBE a zhonya's) I almost always have the least deaths on my team. I can easily escape since I'm never directly in the fight... and if I AM directly in the fight, targetted = dead, tank item or not.

Now... if I stack RoAs and a defense item... then sure.. I'll survive being caught... but I find I'm VERY successful staying on the outside of team fights, destroying HP bars from afar due to having high AP items.

I want to add to my post that I do think certain defensive ap items can be great on Lux after the initial deathcap/lichs bane/void staff. The reason I didn't cover stuff like zhonya's hourglass is because I don't classify them as tank items since they carry attack stats and Corn didn't mention it in his post. My fully built Lux carries mercs (sorcerers at first), deathcap, void staff, lichs bane, abyscell scepter/hourglass depending on team composition (usually hourglass, since you have mercs and lichs bane giving m res already), morello's evil tome/deathfire grasp (hp stackers). Lux can get away without building defences mid game, but has to do build some eventually because of stuff that still reaches her like blinks, global ulties. With this build you've enough cdr, magic penetration, mana reg (clarity, morello's) and ap which are the core stats on Lux. Lichs bane and hourglass carry the utility to survive easier with movement speed, active, and the passive on lichs gives you something to do when all your abilities are off or when versing turrets/neutral minions.

Reminds me of a Dominion game that we won, where I (Skarnerssss) was MVP in terms of points, while the other team of losers had 4 champions that beat my points, and 5 champions that beat our 2nd MVP.

I think the mvp thing is somewhat flawed because someone at top could hold it forever and only get the kill on point and point defence boosts and could be the main reason for a win, while the bot player consistently loses their turret but recaptures it, resulting in a frequent 80-point gain and gets rewarded tons of points for failing to consistently hold his point.

because of the nature of the top point, people who go top usually get more points tho

We got super crushed, not sure if it would've been better with you there. That Vlad guy from SP still has lots to learn, not having a soulstealer when you're 3/10 is a good start. But hey, I had a good anivia practice, and I played really good somehow finished 8/4/2 but I didn't die until jax got all fed and was able to dive and jump whoever he wanted while rammus taunted.
