I know they mentioned that there's a legendary timer - A timer that ensures you get a legendary after a certain amount of play. They need to add that for Set items too, albeit longer. I don't think Set items should count as Legendary items either. There's way too many Legendary possibilities compared to Set possibilities, it's ridiculous. I've played almost exclusively on my Wizard, at Paragon 150 or so, and I've only ever gotten TWO set items from drops EVER. 90% of important drops are useless Legendaries that do nothing or have an effect that's pretty much pointless. Meanwhile I've seen people not many Paragon levels higher than I am with full sets, multiple sets, and all kinds of other goodies that make me look like I've barely played at all in comparison. I'm not expecting exactly the same rates, but I also shouldn't be at the point where every drop is just another Forgotten Soul. Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - JoeTang - 2014-05-04 From what I've read, Jade Harvester cuts up to 30 seconds off the current remaining duration. Creeping Death makes the 8s duration go up to 5 minutes, and the 16s duration up to 10 minutes for Locust Swarm I believe. When you use Soul Harvest, it cuts 30 seconds from this duration and does that damage instantly. Quetzalcoatl doubles the damage per tick too, so that doubles the damage when you Soul Harvest too. Creeping death is capped I THINK at 1 min or so for damage calc. Basically you throw all your dots out and then soul harvest for some crazy damage. I heard sunkeeper is #1 for 1 handers for the set. Problem is with dots for d3 is the crit is calculated on cast and never again for the remaining ticks. I don't know why they can't do it like wow with individual crits on ticks. I wouldn't say it's terrible. It basically says "If the game rolls a legendary or set item for a given slot, these are the % of which item of said legendary could drop.", if that makes sense. Example, if the game rolls for a legendary Amulet to drop for your Wizard in a T1+ game, you have a 7.18% of that amulet being a Moonlight Ward. Wizards can't find smart-looted Doombringer Witch Doctor can't find smart-looted Fulminator Schaefer's Hammer For whatever reason, the Bovine Bardiche can't be found by Witch Doctors. Only Monks and Crusaders can find smart-looted Skycutters. This brings the question that if the item can be dropped as non-smartloot, will it roll a stat for one of the other classes, who don't have Holy skills? They've clearly put some foresight into disabling gear for classes that can't use them, but at the same time, Odyn's Son falls through the cracks, spawning for Witch Doctors with one less primary because they don't have lightning skills. This has been widely reported and ignored. Anyways. I've already seen shitty comments like "THIS ISN'T REAL RNG". |
