Nothing new said about the pokemon.
The french characters in it's name are going to make it annoying to talk about.

Um, just don't use them? People will know what you're talking about by just using normal e's.

Pokémon X and Pokémon Y - Malthe - 2013-06-14

Yea, most people also write Pokemon and not Pokémon.
Also, it's not a french character, but latin.

it's got recoil but it's the best move by far barring volt tackle for physical blows

Never noticed that move, but not really a fan of recoil moves tbh.

Kinda unrelated, but hilarious.

Game is set in the pokemon version of france. Makes much more sense to assume pokemon there are named using the french letter and pronunciation, and not the latin one.

é is not a french character.
It is a letter in the latin alphabet.
It is used in MANY languages. Including my own mother tongue.
ABC and so on don't become french characters either because they're used in a french word either, that was more or less my point.

It is more than likely meant to use the french pronounciation, but that doesn't make the character in question french. Just the name/word.

Quote:Aulotte/Orotto (オーロットWink
New pokemon featured in a X/Y anime series trailer. So maybe a Lucario/Zoroark sorta deal.
Anyone got any guesses as to what kind of pokemon it will be, going off it's name?

If it is Aulotte, then maybe the Au is short for Aura, so maybe an evolution of Lucario.
Also possible that the Au could mean gold. Interesting.

Apparently it's described as being like Beheeyem (the gen 5 Alien pokemon)

Same, it looks amazing.

Wonder if that ghost sword evolves?

There has been wild speculation that there might be a Shield pokemon too, and that they might have a combined evolution.

Either that, or it might evolve into a possessed suit of armour, which I honestly think would be badass, but might be too similar to Escavilier/Gollurk

Either way, it's going to be an awesome pokemon. Steel/Ghost gives it only 2 weakness, Ground and Fire, and it floating suggests it might have Levitate, giving it only a weakness to Fire. Plus it's a given it's going to have Swords Dance.

Pokémon X and Pokémon Y - Celan - 2013-07-04

Ghost/Steel?
It better has god damn Levitate and a good movepool.

Also, a Sword...? What's next, a Shield?

Loving the triquetra on it, fits right in the euro theme.

I wonder why the English name for the sword Pokemon is taking so long to be revealed. The Japanese and French (not sure about other languages) have been out for quite a while now.
