How was your day? - Terebii - 2015-02-27 Netto Wrote:It's frelcking white and gold For myself, the colours have been alternating and I can see it change right in front of my eyes. As a matter of fact, it's turning blue and black as I'm typing this :| Went to a video game interdisciplinary academic panel thing today that was being held at my university. Pretty interesting actually, might have been better if some of the people who went weren't more socially awkward than myself and knew how to act at these types of things
How was your day? - Razmos - 2015-02-27 Got back from London earlier today. We set off there at 3am in the morning thursday, and we got to London by about 9am, I met my.. cousin/aunt/I don't know this family is very confusing Pepsi, who lives in the US in Atlanta, and my grandad before we got in the funeral car and headed for the local church that my grandmother was devoted to. It was just like stepping into one of those black gospel choir churches that you see on TV, with people singing, dancing, clapping, shouting "PRAISE THE LORD" and "HAIL JESUS" and all that. I'm not religious at all, but wow. The singing was amazing, and I loved the energy they all had. Everyone there was so kind, and there they call everyone as if they were family (brother, sister, mother, uncle, ect) so they all considered me, my brother and my parents to be part of the family. A lot of the people there even recognized from me from the pictures of me and my brother that my grandmother had shown to LITERALLY everyone. I heard a lot of my grandmothers history, including her involvement in helping save post-independence Tanzania, and I was absolutely hooked on every word, it was so interesting. They were taking pictures of the funeral for the South African newspapers too, haha. I hope i'm not in any of those. After that we went to the hotel, had something to eat, and we all fell asleep by 9pm haha, which is pretty much unheard of for me. Definitely an unforgettable experience, but i'm glad to be home again. London is a bit hectic, but it made me miss Manchester too, back when I used to live in the city. How was your day? - Razmos - 2015-03-01 What's life without any risks right? Asked that guy out on a date, he hasn't seen the message yet though, probably won't until tomorrow. Still, it's something! How was your day? - Gymleaders - 2015-03-01 Razmos Wrote:What's life without any risks right? In my personal experience, it's definitely better to be the person taking the risks. I find most people are fucking pansies and rarely will be the first one to message you or make a move. I'm almost always the person to make the first move. It's also helped me deal with rejection a lot better. I watched someone get tasered today at work. It was pretty damn awesome. How was your day? - DeanNim - 2015-03-02 ShadeCaro Wrote:Tfw boys same How was your day? - Mute - 2015-03-02 I got the stuff up and working to stream league! =D How was your day? - Razmos - 2015-03-02 Started the third week of the skills training course I was forced onto by the jobcentre, today was very interesting though. Today, due to one of the tutors being away, and the weather meaning that people couldn't get there by minibus, 2 of the classes going on at the the same time were merged into one. There were only 4 of us there at first (we are always the first to arrive) so I went to the kitchen to make a cup of tea, and I come back to find a bunch of new faces I've never seen before, including probably one of the most handsome guys I have ever seen. I was absolutely transfixed on him from the moment I saw him (in a socially acceptable peeking glances at him sometimes sort of way, not a creepy way) Eventually we had to move into another room to do some computer work, we were split into different groups and he was in a different group. We had to think of a company, and make a powerpoint presentation on it. My group chose Microsoft (and I did all the computer work, and it ended up being the best presentation), that guy did Square-Enix which I sneaked a glance at while they were on break. When they came back from break I actually managed to talk to him about it a little, I told them that I had a Final Fantasy tattoo on my arm, and he was talking about getting some too. He delivered his presentation and I spoke up and started talking to him about Square-enix games, turns out he's a massive fan and a total nerd, already i'm acting different than I normally do since I don't usually speak up like that. After that he seemed to be sort of glancing at me every now and then, which was nice. But we didn't really talk after that. He especially glanced at me whenever something sexual came up in conversation, which was.. weird. So at this point I was crushing pretty hard in a short amount of time at this incredibly handsome, nerdy guy who seemed fun to talk to, when all of a sudden he says to the other guys "So what are the females like in your class?" in a leering wink, wink, nudge, nudge sort of way. Anddddd there it is. The single worst thing about being attracted to guys: When they turn out to be straight. I'm sure people on the other side of the world heard my sigh of frustration at that point. It's not all bad though, at the end of the class he sort of just... hung around, until I was about to walk out, then he went out too, so I plucked up the courage (totally unlike me!) to ask him what his favourite Final Fantasy was, and his response was the wonderful "Final Fantasy 8", which is my favourite too, and I said as much, and we talked about how overrated Final Fantasy 7 is ![]() We didn't talk for very long because we had to go separate ways but it was.. nice! He could still be bi/gay but yeahhhh, probably not. Either way I might not see him again, so i'm not gonna make a big deal out of it. I'm really proud of myself right now. I'm finally opening up, i'm talking to people in my class way more openly, I asked a guy out on a date yesterday (he said yes by the way!), I managed to speak to this guy today, and I finally started wearing contact lenses today! I'm also looking after the house while my parents are away for 2 weeks, so I feel pretty independent right now. I also applied to volunteer at an LGBT homeless charity a couple of weeks back and i'm currently waiting for a reply, if I don't get a reply back by the end of the week, i'm going to apply for a different LGBT related charity and see what happens. But I don't think I've ever been this motivated to do something, I really want to do this. Long winded post I know but.. damn, things are just so crazy right now. How was your day? - Sn1perJohnE - 2015-03-03 Dapper day yesterday was awesome, so many awesome Disneybounds (dressing like a character/disney themed clothes) and fancy looking folks in general. Today, however, went from "okay" to shitty real fast. After getting home, we noticed (sister and I) that my mom had thrown all her clothes around, and looking into the laundry room, her clothes were thrown all over in there too, some even into the nook where the litter box is. Being annoyed by this childish behavior and with the situation in general, I went to Target to get some detergent because we were out. I took my time, and when I got back and hour and a half later, I found all of my stuff moved into my moms room, and she moved all of her stuff out into the living room (2 bedrooms in this house). Essentially, I need to move the pineapple out of this house, and as soon as I am able to. How was your day? - Razmos - 2015-03-03 Ended up spending most of the day actually teaching, me and another guy did all our work really quickly, so they said to go into the other room to do some jobsearching, and somehow we got drafted into teaching some guys how to use the computer. The guy in his 50's we worked with the most had literally never touched a computer before, It was so strange seeing the stuff we take for granted, like how to use a mouse or a keyboard. We had him play Solitaire on the computer to teach him how to move the mouse, how to click, ect, it worked really well and he picked it up really quickly. Then we had him do a typing game to familiarize himself with the layout of the keyboard and he picked that up very quickly too, He had been afraid to even touch a computer because they completely daunted him, but he really opened up by the end of the day. It took the pressure off the actual teachers as well, and they thanked us for our efforts. I'm pretty proud of myself for that too. The hot guy I saw only a couple of times today but we didn't really talk, until the end of the day when he came into this other room after everyone else had left and sort of hung around again, we talked a little bit. He looks even nicer up close, hehehehe. God i'm so thirsty. Saw a friend from high school on the way home too, and we talked about quite a few things, it was nice, and again i'm proud of myself for making the effort to talk to him despite not seeing him in 6 years. How was your day? - Olsi - 2015-03-03 Trying to complete the national pokedex is my top priority now. Currently have a 97% average in biology so hopefully I can keep that up and impress the crap out of some universities at midterm. How was your day? - Words - 2015-03-04 Works fun and I'm doing good, so the 3 managers that work during my shift asked me to do some support while they were away. It's different, it's challenging at times, I'm learning a lot and I get to hang out more with my coworkers but, dear lord, it's tiring compared to what I usually do. I can't really complain because I'm enjoying it and, in the future, it's a plus to have people skills and whatnot, if I am to apply for a promotion. I'm tired but happy and I wish it wasn't only until they come back but for a little longer . At home everything feels weird and I'm thinking of getting a place of my own. Thinking of all the new responsibilities I'd have scares the hell out of me but I guess I'll get over it soon or once I go for it.
How was your day? - Razmos - 2015-03-08 Was supposed to be going on that date yesterday, I messaged him on friday night asking if he was still up for it, his reply was "Afraid not, sorry", I said okay but asked him how come. and he didn't reply, so I asked him "next weekend maybe?" still no reply, so I just gave up. He hasn't said anything since. I felt a bit meh, but I've been thinking today that I don't even know why I'm bothering in the first place. I should be focusing on getting a job, making friends ect before I start looking for a boyfriend. How was your day? - Netto - 2015-03-08 I'm losing 1 hour out of my birthday ![]() damn you daylight savings time... How was your day? - Sn1perJohnE - 2015-03-09 We went to the Pantages theater to try and win to buy tickets to see Wicked. My aunt ended up winning 2 tickets and I went with her. The tickets were actually really good, front row, just right of center stage. Considering the tickets were normally almost $200 each, and we only paid $25 each, it was pretty damn awesome. Wicked was cool and all, and the story was nice, but I like the story told from the first Wizard of Oz movie and its sequel, along with the Tin Man mini series, way more than the play. How was your day? - DeanNim - 2015-03-09 i feel like crap |
