Original Dragon Nest Thread - Abrasive - 2011-08-11 Kevin Wrote:Let me know if anyone wants to do Minotaur's Nest on Argenta, see if we can get a whole party together. No guarantees of survival though, I haven't done it ever. I'll be willing to go if you still have slots. i'll be on InFearNFaith level 24 swordsman Original Dragon Nest Thread - Tikey - 2011-08-11 After dying a grand total of 9 times in 3 runs with a full party in Minotaur's Nest, I've noticed a few things about the boss' attacks: - The attack where he slams his axe on the ground and produces 4 shockwaves are practically 90 degrees apart. I'm not sure how much they're offset from the boss' body but the way they're positioned is not the same every time. - The attack where he horizontally slashes produces a shockwave in the direction of his slash. - The attack where he charges towards you has a higher curve rate than the other Minotaur bosses. This means you have to dodge later to not get damaged. - The attack where he stomps his foot has approx. a 1 second charge up despite the 2-3 second stomp animation. The moment you see him lift his foot, you have to jump. Any later and you miss the timing to dodge the shockwave. - Screaming attack is self-explanatory. Dodge to the side when he's about to do it. - The buff he puts on himself is a movement buff, not an attack buff. - The charge up attack produces 6 vertical explosions that are practically 60 degrees apart, and propagate 3 times radially outward. There is no offset, so the way the explosions propagate will always be the same. The origin of the shockwaves is the head of his axe, or slightly below the head on the neck of the axe. Original Dragon Nest Thread - 案山子 - 2011-08-11 We just did a run, it went alright until I started getting obscene amounts of lag, just like all my Saslavan fights. It gets to the point where I can't tumble at all. I only got hit around 2~3 times before the boss though, so I guess it went better than expected for my first time. Will try again tomorrow. Original Dragon Nest Thread - QSCX - 2011-08-12 Played through my first Minotaur Nest run today; we beat it in 14:58 and I never died. Seemed so easy, until I tried again with a different party, and died 5 times. The main differences between the two parties were teamwork. My first party stuck together, attacked the same group of mobs, dodged attacks, had scapegoats distract the boss with the rest of us attacking from behind. My second fail party ran all over the place, hid in far places, and ran off to fight one monster at a time by themselves. Complete hell. Original Dragon Nest Thread - Secun - 2011-08-12 Ran Minos Nest twice with my guild. General strategy was based around me and the other Paladin; One would take one half of the mobs, one would take the other, and both would be supported by the other party members. Worked fine till the main boss, but that was just us getting roflstomped in general, heh. EDIT: The nerfed Minotaur Nest drops are making me rather ticked. Just.. Watch. Hell, it's not even Minotaur Nest. It's Abyss in general. Original Dragon Nest Thread - Tikey - 2011-08-12 I was going to say that was the most epic "Tip" I've seen in an MMO, ever. Then I saw Korean. :/ Original Dragon Nest Thread - CommanderJinn - 2011-08-12 It's cause they have fatigue. Make up for less grind with more drops. Original Dragon Nest Thread - Secun - 2011-08-12 Tikey Wrote:I was going to say that was the most epic "Tip" I've seen in an MMO, ever. Then I saw Korean. :/ It's not just KDN. It's like that in every other version. That chest always shows up at the end of every Nest. Nests take no FTG in the other versions. Abyss mode in general also has a better drop rate in the other versions. I'm really not sure whether I should go to DNSEA whenever it comes out... Original Dragon Nest Thread - CommanderJinn - 2011-08-12 Secun Wrote:It's not just KDN. It's like that in every other version. That chest always shows up at the end of every Nest. No. It's the higher drop rate is to make up for the fact that they have less game time due to fatigue. I was talking about in general. Obviously that would apply to the Minotaur nest as well. Having such a large nerf with the 7 run limit still seems more than a bit overboard. Original Dragon Nest Thread - CommanderJinn - 2011-08-12 Secun Wrote:Yeah, but we still have that 7 runs per week limit, like the other versions. It is. That's why it's stupid. I thought they'd remove it. But apparently not. I wish they'd remove the 30 item limit as well. Original Dragon Nest Thread - KajitiSouls - 2011-08-12 Ran Mino's Nest for the first time with randoms just now. That was pretty intense xD Used up four revives though, and got an Ancient Quiver and epic Herba Powder or something out of it :< A full attack combo can kill you though, which kinda sucks. Secun Wrote:EDIT: The nerfed Minotaur Nest drops are making me rather ticked. I smell a private server, or the devs are true gamers. EDIT: Or it's a client-sided mod with those messages. Original Dragon Nest Thread - Worthyness - 2011-08-12 Currently splitting my attention between 3 characters (lol)- trying to get them free slots... Anyone have tips on using the acrobat's windwalking (air something) in tandem with teh move that comes crashing down after (the one unlocked at 17). I can't seem to chain a jump--> windwalk--> crashy thing. Original Dragon Nest Thread - Kaasoljoyyx - 2011-08-12 Worthyness Wrote:Currently splitting my attention between 3 characters (lol)- trying to get them free slots... It's easier on bigger things. You just bounce 2-3 times then press eagle dive, or left click [or right click, i forget. I just do it naturally] I hate mino boss. elf queen gear is kind of stupid now since getting the materials for it is like getting iruvata boosters only worse. Hopefully with more and more people running, all the other epic gear will deflate a little and I can just buy a bow/quiver in fm. Maybe even some cheap accessories/crests. Original Dragon Nest Thread - Toastyc12 - 2011-08-12 Worthyness Wrote:Currently splitting my attention between 3 characters (lol)- trying to get them free slots... While it's possible on smaller things, it requires much more precise timing since you can't usually see with the wonky camera. Speaking of Acrobats, I didn't get my wings. :/ I ran 3+ dungeons on 12 of the days, while the requirement was 11. Oh well. Finishing up the David/Argenta quest chain on my Elementalist. I...quite enjoy the Dialogue in this game. Carderock Pass - I find the Warp NPCs everywhere to be a bit annoying. I'm waiting for this, somewhat, at the same time farming for Gold Rabbits. Just found one a couple runs ago but only got a Superb Dash Kick. Seems as useless as my Superb Heavy Slash.
Original Dragon Nest Thread - Secun - 2011-08-12 I wonder if I have my wings yet... EDIT: OK, cool, got a response from Neural about the wings. http://forum2.nexon.net/showthread.php?18243-Looking-into-the-Spread-Your-Wings-event KajitiSouls Wrote:I smell a private server, or the devs are true gamers. The waves were pretty easy. Managed to get out of the first two without getting hit. The third I got careless. And the Boss hits extremely hard If I can get his pattern down though, I'm sure I can manage to dodge most of his attacks and land some pretty good damage.
