I don't get what you say either. The cage the Ninetails is in represents the seal thats imposed on him inside Naruto. If Naruto dies, the Ninetails dies too. If he was freed after Naruto dies, then he would have let Naruto die during his fight in the Valley of the end.
The kyubi wants to take over naruto's body, if naruto dies he gets released, how long it takes him to ressurect his form is an unknown but, the kyubi simply doesn't vanish after naruto dies.

This. Although I think the Kyuubi is warming up to Naruto (as much as a pure evil demon fox can warm up to someone). I'm assuming that he wants to help Naruto because there is NO way that all of both their chakra is gone.

I can't remember where but wasn't it stated that the kyubi is almost a limitless chakra source due to how fast it regenerates? If he let naruto have free access we might be looking at naruto getting a big power-up.

Well, wether they die an resurrects or they become some sort of ghost until they materialize again isn't really important, the point is that killing the host or dispelling the edo tensei technique to make the bodies disappear could free the chakra up and Tobi would have to wait before he can complete his moon eye plan.

It is important because that time frame imbetween is the key factor. I would see the 9 tails take over naruto sooner than he would die though.

Idk what the problem is people. The 9 tails doesn't hate people just because he hates them, he feels like a used pet. He's a prideful self aware entity of chakra essentially. Naruto showed to him that he recognizes him as that rather than a source of power. Hence the whole mother giving him the hint that thing needs some love, really it just wants respect.
