Oh hello, Mystic Door.
Now I need to get to 120...and I can have SE to go with it!
Thing that sucks about door though, is if you hotkey it + unequip the item, it doesn't stay on the hotkey.
So I had to cube it a few times to keep the stats I liked with the 4% dex/str...

I think he did it wrong. Yes if you un-equip the item from your equipment window, your skill goes away. But if you kept the helmet on, went to your inventory, clicked on another hat, Mystic Door would have stayed on your skills table and your hot key.
My friend let me borrow his Unique Blitz Helmet the other day for door and I returned it immediately and I still have the skill.

Well Ravanna is +18 all compared to 17/15/15/15 or 15/17/15/15 from a Scarlion, and Czhelms are ridic expensive, so if you have a +18 all hat with 3 lines of potential that suits you just fine, ditch it in favor of an inferior or far more expensive item when you don't need to? Seems like it'd make the most sense to maker a 70+ class hat and get door on that--it may be restricted by class if you wanna sell it or door, but you don't have to drop $3 if you want to trade it.

Oh come now, the ravana helm is lvl 70 which means less % stats and the number of slots are less than the ones I mentioned. That's more than enough reasons to get a scarlion hat.

Epic bonus on the 1st line, Unique bonus on the 2nd line, rare bonus on the 3rd line on an epic item and all of them give STR. I'm pretty lucky I think, if only if it were DEX though

No it isn't. Not everyone has infinite cash, so why ditch a perfectly good 3-line unique hat for the chance of getting 3 lines again on a scar (probably go through and explode a fair amount), then spend tons of real life money cubing it to unique and to useful stats, then spending even more cash scrolling the thing hoping you don't ruin or boom it in which case you have to start all over again?

If you waste money to get unique stuff clearly you are interested in getting good bonuses? If a person does not waste money (or atleast is prepared to do it) he/she will never get any decent skills in the first place. Hence, it becomes a nonissue.

Uhh no, not really. Lvl 40 Tradeable Branch noses are extremely rare, especially when one has 3 lines. It's very easy to get 10% of any stat when an item is unique. He should definitely recube for 10-14% dex on unique rank. Epic items just aren't worth it.

You also overlooked that fact that the helm was scrolled for HP. I'd say the only use for that Ravana is Decent Mystic Door. Even some rare Chaos zhelms are better than that. Vegas do go on for sale from time to time. 60%s Helm DEX is way cheaper after the wave of botters. 3 Lines and Unique does not necessarily mean an item is good.
Scarlion and Targa helms are good alternatives to czak helms even. Without the HP, the lvl 71+ bonuses are still there. It's quite stupid to get a Ravana. They are smack dab level 70 & have only 7 slots.
