Fairy Tail Thread (Spoilers) - Lozmaster - 2013-02-26

byakugan Wrote:woah woah, hold it there. There might be ground to your comment butit'd be extremely disappointed if that was true. Bluenote also roundhouse kicked Natsu and team and Gildarts still beat him pretty easily. bBesides, Laxus only landed a couple punches on Hades and that was out of a surprise attack, we wont know how easy/hard their fight would have been.

Laxus only surprise attack was his initial headbutt, none of the rest (including all the punches) were a surprise.

Bluenote was weaker than hades. While fighting Hades Laxus survived an attack that took out makarov (who used his strongest known defensive spell) without even casting any magic. And managed to counter his attack, though he did take some damage to one leg. He ten survived another attack (that was for all intents and purposes much worse than bluenote just kicking glidarts when he had no magic...)without any magic power at all, and was able to stand up before the fight was over and attack hades again. Whereas gildarts was totally out of it for the rest of the arc.

And then there's the fact that since Laxus is a dragon slayer, his magic should naturally fall under the "strongest offensive" magic class that all dragon slayer magic is supposed to be.

If a gap even still exists, it should be smaller since Laxus spent 3 months training for the GMG whereas gildarts hasn't.

Meh, I'm too lazy to check into every detail of both fights as to prove or disprove yourself wrong. I'll just say I'll be heavily disappointed if Laxus is stronger than Gildarts and that rergardless of that wordless chapter months back, we don't know if Gildarts has been doing any training.

Fairy Tail Thread (Spoilers) - Curtiss - 2013-03-01

New chapter's up.

Second origin? Isn't that what Ultear gave them?
I guess Ezra is the first to unlock it.

 Laxus in a nutshell

It seems more likely that everyone else has been using it all the time, for instance, Natsu was able to use Fire-Lightning mode against Sabertooth when he attacked their guild, without collapsing, and Natsu, Grey, Wendy and co are all showing significant improvement over the previous arc, whereas erza was just being erza.

Fairy Tail Thread (Spoilers) - byakugan - 2013-03-01

I find myself cheering for FairyTail to lose at this point...someday.

If that's the unimaginable outcomethat that was predicted, I can see why It was unimaginable, because that prediction misleaded us all into thinking something different and interesting would happen, yet its just the same thing from always, overpowered characters be overpowered, and whenever a match is found... NAKAMA POWER !.

Go Sting, you got all my support.

I want them to lose too because it does fit in with what you said about the outcome being unimaginable. On the other hand it's not that likely because the unimaginable outcome in the series itself is of them winning as they've been gone for seven years and I doubt many people sans the involved parties know about their intensive training if at all.

It's funny because FT is incredibly predictable and does ton of asspulls. Yet you always find yourself cheering for their ass kickery. It may lack plot tension but evidently they know how to pull out the adrenaline of their fight scenes.

I can cheer for Gray and Juvia to win, because they have already stated they are weaker and need to use a teamwork strategy to win, thats a good argument, but I'm not cheering for Laxus and definitely not Erza who is about to defeat the possible strongest mage in the competition with a broken leg (and the tremendous asspull of activating second origin like that).

Indeed. Gray and Juvia have been at this battle for quite a while now and Gray's comment about teamwork makes me wonder why isn't there more teamwork ownage by Fairy Tail since that would drive home the power of nakama a lot better than the usual top people soloing bosses and coming out of it victorious because of people who aren't even contributing to the fight. Oops, I forgot this isn't Maple Story.

But anyway, I like Gray and Juvia, okay. Sad

Fairy Tail Anime's TV Run to End on March 30

What?! Why would they do that?
I guess it's only a break in order to avoid filler...

Fairy Tail Thread (Spoilers) - Lozmaster - 2013-03-02

Wait, what the pineapple? March 30th? They're just going to end in the middle of an arc? And just after Fairy Tail just got it's first movie?

At 4 episodes left, they're going to probably finish after Natsu and Gajeel VS Sting and Rogue, and miss out the 5th day completely.

And to be honest, I doubt they're going to start up again. They didn't start Rave Master up again after they cancelled it.

Maybe they're going to make the last day of the arc into a movie instead. I think that's the best we could hope for Sad.

Fairy Tail Thread (Spoilers) - Saber - 2013-03-02

..there's just no way they can give the anime a decent ending if they're ending smack in the middle of some important things. But omg I am so upset about this since I really loved FT, I got into the series pretty late in August 2012 so I wish I could have watched the anime as it aired for a longer while. D:

Fairy Tail Thread (Spoilers) - byakugan - 2013-03-02

In this scenario the best way to end it would be with a huge cliffhanger: Sting goes all like "I will show them... I'll show everyone what I'm capable of, just wait Lector", Minerva stabs Kagura from behind and threatens Erza while she lays down with her broken leg, Laxus and Orga bumb into each other and a second later Juura shows up, Gray/Juvia meet with Leon/Shelia, they find future Lucy and she tells them 10.000 dragons are heading to Crocas and will kill everyone next day, Arkadius thinks to himself about how the princess must be hiding something and finally the Garoo Knights and army show again in front of Natsu's team.

It will leave everyone watching the anime looking forward for when it resumes or/and encourage them to pick up the manga in case they don't plan on ever resuming it.

Fairy Tail Thread (Spoilers) - Lozmaster - 2013-03-03

^As nice as they would be, there's no way they're going to get that far, because they'd have to do like, around 20 chapters in 4 episodes?

Anyway, it's time to get some conspiracy theory going.

Also: Probably going to end here, now that I think about it...

It never did make sense for that page to be in the manga...

Fairy Tail Thread (Spoilers) - Curtiss - 2013-03-08

New chapter's out.

 Spoiler

Fairy Tail Thread (Spoilers) - Shippo the Fox - 2013-03-08

Debating if this chapter or the chapter where Natsu beats both Sting and Rogue by himself is the worst chapter of the arc so far.

Fairy Tail Thread (Spoilers) - byakugan - 2013-03-08

Mashima seriously almost got me... What's so bad about FairyTail losing one battle? Feels this all was a scheme to save Sting some face instead of making him look like a coward because we all know FT would still be considered champion in the eyes of the people if Sting won in such a cheap way. I'm totally disappointed. Gray and Juvia's strategy was only a front attack that was lucky enough to catch Shelia daydreaming, Erza one shot Minerva after being pushed around by Kagura, Sting gave up because FairyTail was so full of itself despite being agonizing.

Fairy Tail Thread (Spoilers) - Saber - 2013-03-09

I'm disappointed that Sting surrendered since I just.. I didn't expect that at all. Sabertooth was portrayed to be such a powerful guild and to come back from a seven-year timeskip and be able to beat them so easily with just a little bit of training doesn't make much sense. Wish the series wasn't so dependent on its powers of friendship. ):

But Sting reuniting with Lecter was so adorable!
