Wanna throw bets on who Future Lucy really is? I personally would find it hilarous if it was Minerva, thats come from the future to take revenge for whatever happens to her in the tournament.
And I can only guess that shadow is the spirit of one of the members of Phantom Lord?.

They do it quite a lot really. I expected it to get more showing in the anime, and it was totally worth. Mashima complains fairly often in interviews that he can't get everything in to the 20ish page chapters and so leaves them in deliberately to get the anime to expand on them.
I think I actually prefer it when the anime builds on the things we find out in the manga, and it's so much better than other big anime who just fill out episodes with reaction shots to stretch them out. Yes, I'm talking to you one piece. I'd give the episode a 4/5.

Yeah crazy. He reminded me of Vegata a bit. I hope there is some draw back to them eating stuff not their element.

This is freaking weird. At the end of the chapter its as if Gajeel is now posessed aswel, like that is not himself.
Anyway, this' has only made me curious as to what will Wendy eat to get her power boost. Since she's always been the supportive kind, it'd be great if she got a magic that helped her offensive powers. First thing I can think of is Sting's holy magic.

Well, don't forget that whenever Natsu uses his acquired lightning ability, it pretty much drains all of his energy. If that is the case, and Gajeel has now gotten the shadow element, he should get really drained after a few attacks.
That said, I am wondering if both Rogue and the Holy dragon slayer both have similar "shadows."

Took the words out of my mouth. This is seriously hurting the pace by now and I don't even feel so excited to check out chapters now because I keep thinking that it's going to drag again.

I disagree about the pacing. Everything is being shown in a very deliberate order. We could have done without jumping back to natsu and co beating up mooks this chapter, but that was what, 3 pages? There might be some arc fatigue I guess, because this is easily the longest fairy tail arc, but i'm not feeling it.
I feel like the arcadios thing is going to be very important, besides that, he never actually accused Future Lucy of lying. He had a thought for one panel that she was keeping something from her friends, but decided himself that it couldn't be true. The fact that he feels he needs to be ready for a fight when going to see the princess is a interesting decision, and we now know that he (probably) is the white knight from Charles vision earlier in the arc.
And the results of Gajeel vs Rogue are clearly going to have long reaching meaning for the rest of the manga. Obviously, Gajeel getting a second element is important, but we might have just found out where the source of zerefs magic was, (possessing Rogue) and there is a very good chance it has possessed other people during this arc. For instance, I'd bet Arcadios was possessed by it at earlier in the arc when he was talking about "Lord Zeref". He certainly isn't behaving like someone who would want zeref revived right now!

Exactly what I expected to happen to Orga. Yura's powerlevel was around 8000 while orga's around 2500. It was obvious Orga was no challenge for these guys. Now I like Laxus and all, but I will be disappointed if he just beats Jura right now.
There's how many sub plots right now?
- Jura vs Laxus'
- Arcadius and the Princess.
- Natsu/ Lucy vs Garoo knights/army
- Erza vs Kagura
- Leon vs Gray
I hope at least one of these comes to an end next week, because this is only the introduction to one bigger arc and I really want to know whats happening/ will happen.

Be prepared to be disappointed. If Laxus can't at least force a draw (Which Mashima already mentioned was his original plan, instead of Mistgun fighting him on the first day, he probably changed his mind about that fight once he decided to remove Mistgun from the tournament after the first day.) then Jura is going to walk around and auto win the games for Lamia scale, which I doubt that Mashima will let happen.

It's not really fair to call separate fights different plots. I doubt Laxus vs Jura will finish next chapter (The other times this arc we've had a chapter called "X vs y" it's been the 2nd of a 3 part fight).

woah woah, hold it there. There might be ground to your comment butit'd be extremely disappointed if that was true. Bluenote also roundhouse kicked Natsu and team and Gildarts still beat him pretty easily. bBesides, Laxus only landed a couple punches on Hades and that was out of a surprise attack, we wont know how easy/hard their fight would have been.
I don't expect Jura to just overpower Laxus and win like he just did against Orga, I just hope he wins. I mentioned earlier that the unimaginable outcome that Future Lucy mentioned might be everyone left banding against Kagura and that doesn't include Juura. It would be perfectly fine is Laxus weakened Juura enough for this to decide on sitting on a bench until the matches end.
