um.. from what i've read, it gives you a 20+ atk boost, 20+ avoid & acc, and like a % chance of not gettin knocked back in combat, and it also reflects damage? (when maxed of course)
i'm not sure can someone clear that one for me

causes touch damage not reflects it IIRC

i dont remember if it overrides any of your previous buffs, i remember something about it being pot smart though

that's right.

It doesn't override attack buffs if the attack buff is more than what the energy charge will give you.

Ex- you use a 30 atk pot -> energy charge kicks in -> energy charge won't give you 20 more atk, or override your 30 atk pot.

you use a 12 atk pot -> energy charge kicks in -> energy charge boosts your damage to 20 atk

So what does the "duration" mean? Charge Rate? Probability?

Hazzy Wrote:So what does the "duration" mean? Charge Rate? Probability?

I'm 90% sure that's how long it lasts after the bar fills up before it depletes and forces you to charge it back up.

It's like Combo Attack, except it takes a lot more hits to fill it up, and you can't dispel it with a Finisher attack.

Ah, so how long does it take to charge up? What does the "Charge Rate" mean? It says a %, so what is that a % of?
What's the probability do? o_0

Probability is probably for the stance effect.

We don't know what the charge rate means. The more hits you get in an attack the better i guess is the best way to explain it. Rusty can tell you, max energy charges up in 1 to 1 and 1/2 goby houses.

Oh, that makes sense. One last question about it. xD
In Fiel's skill table, it says "Damage +x%". Does it add onto skill %s? ie: 20 FF would go from 270% to 470% with maxed Energy Charge?
Or is it something else?

Ask a Pirate Thread - kingdj333 - 2008-12-23

Oh....
ok i kinda understand now but, does the charge acklike an exp per or something. like you need to do 50k dmg until the charge kicks in? cause it says 97% charged
ex.- you do 100 dmg, its uses 97 to fill in out of 1000...? :f6:
if it does can anyone list the number?

That's the pg damage. The actual formula is funky...what you do to them with touch can vary quite a bit, though it will get quite high when maxed. Touch can also crit from stun.

No, you get a set amount of energy, based on the skill level, for each enemy you hit. The higher the level, the more you get. The more you hit (not how much damage you hit), the faster it fills.

Is there an exact formula out? :f6:

ok i get it. Its how much you hit them and the damage out put! kk thanks

No it's not the damage output at all. It's the number of enemies you hit only.

Hazzy Wrote:Is there an exact formula out? :f6:

If there is I haven't seen it.

oh so if i hit 6 emeimes it charges?
so its 97% of 6 emeinies every hit?
5.83 out of 1000 charged lol XD Wink

No one knows what the % does. If you hit 6 monsters, you get 6 energy things. If you hit 100 mobs, you get 100 energy things.
"energy things" is a portion of the total energy that changes as EC levels. D:

I don't really know where you got your 1000 number from, but if it really is xx% of some unit of charge, it definitely isn't as high as 1000. You're really overcomplicating things... just stick with "the more enemies you hit, the faster it charges" and you'll be fine.

Ask a Pirate Thread - ZachAttack - 2008-12-24

Quick question:
Level 63 brawler
I have 20 attack hat so damage is like 1.5k max damage range.

MP3 or Windraiders?

sorry about that... and yeah i figured it out yesterday, asked a level 83 marader. "it charges pretty fast. in 2 to 3 mobs."
stumped right now cause i missed my z-run 3 weeks ago... can i still go?

I was wondering if there's an updated formula for this? I have a Level 29 Pirate that has 479 MP after washing it twice. So originally, it was 511 MP. But according to the formula I needed 633 MP to wash...

Formula is for after 2nd job, which is when most people wash anyways... you gain mp for 2nd job advance so the minimum is adjusted.
