I'm in the midst of doing some mediocre HP washing, and I calculate I'll have over 10k by level 15x. 10k + HB = 16k HP. That's more than enough to take those Pink Been hits. Heck, I imagine Buccaneers will easily have ~20k buffed HP by the time they can Pink Been. The Revenge of Monster Magnet! - Russt - 2009-03-17 Takebacker Wrote:Oh, that? Doesn't look like it has much range. Oh well, i don't think buccs can survive 17k very easily without blooding a bit. There goes that idea. Not if they hug, but I dunno its touch. Mother fker... EDIT: 1700 watk. The Revenge of Monster Magnet! - Takebacker - 2009-03-18 That strategy quickly flew out the window, lol. The Revenge of Monster Magnet! - KajitiSouls - 2009-03-18 Takebacker Wrote:That strategy quickly flew out the window, lol.Norly? lmao xD Really, there's not many bosses where the touch damage is less than their attacks, much less a boss whose attacks does outrageous damage but the touch damage is survivable by HP-deficient class standards. The Revenge of Monster Magnet! - Takebacker - 2009-03-18 KajitiSouls Wrote:Norly? lmao xD What about anego/bodyguards? I don't see any possible method of taking PB down anymore then. The only strategy i can think of is have the warriors rush him to the right, the BMs sitting in the middle of the map SE-ing everyone without getting in PBs range, and the NLs running away as soon as possible when PB does something and then coming back when he calms down so they don't get raped. The Revenge of Monster Magnet! - KajitiSouls - 2009-03-18 Takebacker Wrote:What about anego/bodyguards?You want to try Anego's 13k touch damage? Okay. Bodyguards are worse. And no one told me whether Snatch works on bosses. =/ The Revenge of Monster Magnet! - Stereo - 2009-03-18 Takebacker Wrote:NLs running away as soon as possible when PB does something and then coming back when he calms down so they don't get raped. With the avoid+fake, a NL can last about 8 1hkos (translating to what.. 20 seconds maybe. He casts it a lot). They just need to bring lots of Bishops and Buccaneers.. The Revenge of Monster Magnet! - GameMX - 2009-03-18 KajitiSouls Wrote:You want to try Anego's 13k touch damage? Okay. That won't work well, they need to be in the state of transformation. Why aren't people getting it >_<... HP Washing won't do, I highly doubt some low-hp built class is gonna have 11k-12k HP unbuffed by washing, unless they put a ton of APs into HP, rendering their damage worthless. Now I just see people trying to pitch stupid ideas. Bucceeners won't survive, they have no real form of defense, they are mostly just offensive material. Every class, has their Strengths and Weaknesses. Every class is useful. >_> The Revenge of Monster Magnet! - IllegallySane - 2009-03-18 Stereo Wrote:With the avoid+fake, a NL can last about 8 1hkos (translating to what.. 20 seconds maybe. Might as well send in tons of Heroes once Pink Been is up, keeping the ranged in the back to re-destroy statues. There goes that idea. It has 500ish (I forget exactly how much) range. For the record, Archers/Sins/Cannon have 400 range. There is no way to not get hit by this attack unless you can avoid it in the same way as skelegons beams. And even then, it'd be close and hard to do. Unless you turn him around, PB will find a way to do his 17k to you. The Revenge of Monster Magnet! - Takebacker - 2009-03-18 KajitiSouls Wrote:You want to try Anego's 13k touch damage? Okay. Better than her 16k slap right? xD The Revenge of Monster Magnet! - Kirov - 2009-03-18 They could make it so his attack gets weaker over distance. That way the melee classes take the highest hit and the range classes further away take a weaker hit. It would still keep the challenge as the melee classes would have to make sure Pink Been was pushed away and the ranged would have to be constantly aware for their distance from Pink Been. Or maybe have it do a short ranged attack for 8k followed by that ranged attack for 8k. That way the melee basically take the full damage and the ranged take a survivable hit. I guess there are lots more ways around it but Nexon will never try anything. Their solution is the cash shop revival item.. Kind of lame that it seems like a necessity to kill pink been. Oh and I also love how derailed this thread has become.

I doubt you'll use magic claw or big bang on it though.
The Revenge of Monster Magnet! - Dusk - 2009-03-18 Stereo Wrote:Let's compare a Bowmaster to a Paladin at Zakum's bodies (using that convenient 1 target damage thread). To be fair to the Paladin, give him the best option - SI+SE+2h Sword. The Bowmaster can lose 250 AP out of DEX and still do more damage. That's an extra 5500 base HP, if you blood dump the points straight in. I don't think it's fair to compare to a Paladin. Paladins and mages are without a doubt poorly balanced with the rest of the classes with the game. There just needs to be a balance between melee classes and ranged classes, and they can fix up Paladins and mages afterward. Melee classes - Heroes, DrKs, Buccaneers, Shadowers (yes, I'm excluding Paladins) Ranged classes - BMs, MMs, NLs, Corsairs Bishops are support and don't necessarily need to be balanced damage-wise. I'd argue that there is balance here and that we ranged classes have every right to peach about putting points in HP. Melee class pros: Highest damage to small mobs (2-6) Good survivability (Shadowers and Buccaneers have less HP and Shadowers rely on MG but Shadowers have insane avoid; Buccaneers have pretty good avoid as well) Moves with invincibility frames Rushing skills (except Shadower) High KB Ranged class pros: Highest single target damage Can stay out of reach of close range attacks Good maneuverability (except archers) Puppet (archer only) Fast KB The only problem is that the number of bosses where you fight a giant rock/fish/clock/etc and the number of bosses where you have groups to deal with is pretty skewed. |
