sometimes i wonder if the reason trump's doing so well, is because everything he does gets so much attention, so everytime something gets misquoted, or is said wrong, it rapidly becomes known.

You guys don't get it, what trump is doing is a double whammy;
He's going to get huge amounts of refunds back from the donations he received regarding his campaign stuff, which is a hefty amount. The other two prong to this tactic is to throw off the other republicans (see Cruz being consistently called a liar). Trump is an avid supporter for Hilary Clinton, they have a long history together, and is probably going to throw the entire republican nominee under the buss to get her in.
All she has to do is beat Bernie, and it looks like that isn't far off.

He's definitely throwing off his opponents as much as possible by not playing the same game as all the politicians. No one really expected his tactics to work. I'd be willing to bet even Trump himself is surprised.
Tin foil hat time? I think you're overlooking the obvious. Trump is really just a big enough megalomaniac to actually believe he can win. Hell, maybe he can! *shudders* I don't know what this says about the American voters, but it sure as hell says something. If nothing else, this election cycle is definitely getting a lot of young voters, at least around my age bracket, to register and vote.

Can someone please explain what danger Trump poses to LGBT? He hasn't said anything to suggest any such fears would be justified. Cruz is a much bigger danger.

The biggest thing that has pissed me off has been the War on Drugs. Specifically that it was a war in name only, that it was never actually fought like a war. First step is securing our borders to stop the drug and sex trafficking. That starts with building a wall. Then building a seismic monitoring system along that wall to detect any tunnel-building operations (the drug cartels are very experienced at building long, sophisticated miles-long tunnels). Then we make an actual offense and deploy troops into Central America and wipe out every druglord and continue killing off every new one that pops up in the previous one's place.
