An i5 and a 600 series. That sounds like over kill. Anyone know if they're using an in house engine or a third party engine?

Not sure if it points to anything, but Fiel said that they're storing files in Gamebryo format.

I know some of the files are in FMOD Sample Banks, which isn't exclusive to an engine since it's just middleware. I need more info! Where is Fiel with those xmls? T.T

Considering how Maple 1 would play for me, and I am on the "highest" tier of this chart but with 8 GBs RAM, I would say the true minimum for Maple 2 is actually the "high" tier on this chart.

I never put any faith into "Recommended Hardware" listings, especially for the highest settings. If I've learned anything playing with people online for the past 15ish years, it's that the weirdest hardware combinations can break or make performance, and the unexpected occurs so often it's mind boggling.
For example, I have a friend that has a laptop that's basically from the dark ages of computers, and yet it can play games like Borderlands 2 at nearly maximum settings but can't play games like Divinity: Original Sin at minimum settings.
At most, they're a general guide, but certainly not an end-all; be-all for if you'll be able to play.

Pretty unlikely but would anyone here with alpha access be willing to create a wireshark log before alpha ends? It would definitely be useful for looking into things beyond just data files. The login server port is 20001 but I’m not sure about others. A long log of as many interactions as possible would be good including character creation, changing channels, killing mobs, moving items around, consuming potions etc. Start logging before the start-up splash intros end as that’s when a first connection is made. There shouldn’t be any issues with user/pass as they use Nexon passport which is their generic NMCO game service stuff which expires shortly after login. It may not even send that as client start-up args also includes “/sid:” which I assume is the session id. Anyway a long shot but a wireshark log would definitely be much appreciated.

Here are all of the files which contain “?xml” (15,759 files, 11,810 which were encrypted). I also included MS2ArchiveFiles.txt which is a list of all packed MS2 file paths 46,398 total.
If anyone wants me to upload any other files I can do, I would upload the entire thing if my internet didn’t suck. I could possibly also release the code or exe for dumping the files if anyone wants and it is allowed on these forums.

There aren’t many skill / item icons which makes me sad. I don’t know if they decided not to include them in alpha or they haven’t made a huge amount of content yet. I think it will be a long time until release date if this is everything.
